Forming early in the 2000's, Disciples of Logic (DOL) has seen many changes to its roster, but the passion has stayed the same. Currently the group consists of 2 M.C.'s: Doc Rizk & Beast Da Brilliant and 1 Producer: Complex. When they formed DOL, the basis for becoming a group was to combine the best production talent and lyrical talent the Poconos, PA had to offer. In the beginning there were several members who currently arent on the roster any longer but have made their impact on the local music scene just the same. DOL was comprised of 2 producers: Complex & Ed the Abbot, and 4 MC's: Doc Rizk, Beast da Brilliant, Mozez Flowz & Swayze. Out of all the original members only the 3 current members and Mozez Flowz continue to work closely together with several collabs appearing on the latest album release, Hardly Bullets & The Lazy 8's (2010).
DOL has dropped several cd's and mixtapes which have created a buzz locally and in the surrounding areas. With the release of their latest album, HBL8, their fanbase has grown globally. HBL8 is the collaborative effort of not only the main members of DOL, but also mc's and producers from around the world. Complex has remained the main driving force behind DOL's production, but has made room for guest producers to jump on board. These producers and artists have helped mold a piece of musical artwork that is definelty a breathe of fresh air amongst todays hiphop scene. The producers and artists appearing on HBL8 are as follows: T Cuts(producer, DJ; UK), Striker (producer; UK), Asayu (producer; USA), B. Allen (producer; USA), Kate White (vocals; UK), Mozez Flowz (MC; USA), 2Tru (MC; USA).
On HBL8, Disciples of Logic have painted a picture depicting the industry in its current status. Giving light to the unsigned yet in tune mindstate of an underground group, who is desperately trying to change to way hiphop is experienced. They believe it is important to have critical thinking and more importantly artistic freedom when making music today. They believe its way to easy to follow the mold and have never stooped to being an "industry group" but rather a group in the industry.
