In 1996, it was remastered and re-released with 2 bonus tracks. In 2004, another remastered version was released with 9 additional tracks. "Blind Eye" and "Sweet Lorraine" both charted at low positions in the US Top 100 and "Spider Woman" climbed as high as #13 in the German charts.
The title track is notable for a kazoo solo (played by Kerslake) and the use of "Happy Birthday To You" melody. The album's title was also the inspiration for the name of the band's birthday shows/conventions - The Magician's Birthday Parties.
It is the second of five UH albums with cover artwork designed by Roger Dean.
It was also the second album to be recorded by the most famous Uriah Heep line-up that included:
David Byron
Ken Hensley
Mick Box
Gary Thain
Lee Kerslake.
