Charlie Can't Surf are a band who always play with their hearts on their sleeves. Carrying on in the tradition of the genre they love so much, bringing a classic rock sound to the modern scene with their own unique twist.
Charlie Can't Surf have come a long way . A four piece rock band from the West Midlands, featuring Chris Gorman, Paul Nicholls, Simon Nicholls and Nick Smith. The boys have developed their sound and style over the years, slowy honing their skills into a polished and professional group who are capable of putting on a show to rival just about anyone.
Having reformed in 2009 after a 2 year gap, the band are now looking to pick up where they left off and show the world what they can do. By bringing big riffs and great tunes to the people who want something passionate in their music. Charlie Can't Surf only know how to play with everything they've got to give...
The band have been taking promising steps on the road to success. From appearing 3 times on Kerrang Radio's Breakfast Show as Ugly Phil's favourite house band. To even supporting the mighty Skindred in concert. Charlie Can't Surf are also the first rock band ever to have played live at Gatecrasher Birmingham.
On top of having graced stages such as the Barfly Birmingham, The Bar Academy, The Jailhouse and The Little Civic as well as having performed at Birmingham's Gigbeth Festival. Not to mention, a live appearance on BBC Radio WM.
2010 was a busy year for the boys, with many great gigs along the way, as well as the recording of their 'Comeback EP', all helping to spread word of CCS. With only only one thing in their minds for 2011 they are certain not to ease up. As they aim to push their sound further into the public domain and show people what they are missing.
