The Boogieman Band is comprised of veteran musicians from across the USA and their sound is a blend of styles as diverse as 'Jimmy Reed' to 'Albert King' and 'Little Richard' to 'Ray Charles'!
As you will hear there are far too many influences to pinpoint them all! They have several self produced CDs and anew once to be released in April!
Since 1989 the Band has shared the bill with many Music Industry Icons including:
* 'John Mayall' / 'George Thorogood' / 'Allman Brothers' / 'Michael Burks' / 'Santana' / 'War' /
* 'Elvin Bishop' / 'Doobie Brothers' / 'John Fogherty' / 'John Lee Hooker' / 'James Cotton' /
* 'Albert Collins' / 'Taj Mahal' / 'Blues Brothers' / 'REO Speedwagon' and the list goes on........
Having performed across the United Kingdom & Europe from England to Romania they are equally at home entertaining Royalty to Roughnecks and Bikers to Bankers alike!

John Earl – Vocals, Blues Harp, Guitar and Percussion!
Born in Lubbock,Texas and raised on the Blues and it's Baby, "Rock & Roll"!
Influenced by 'WOLFMAN JACK' and other Rebel AM radio personalities listening to the music of:
* 'Jimmy Reed' / 'Howlin' Wolf / 'Muddy Waters' / 'C'huck Berry / 'John Lee Hooker /
* 'Elmore James / * 'Leadbelly, and many others!
John started singing in local Combos in Highschool until joining the military at 17.
While on active duty he jammed in the NCO & Officers Clubs on weekends.
Upon returning to civilian life he toured the USA dancehall circuits across 32 states North & South, East & West from '65 till '73.
He and his band opened and played alongside such notables as;
* 'Little Walter' / 'Lightning Hopkins / 'Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels' / 'The Five Americans' /
* '13th Floor Elevators' / 'Roy Head' / 'Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs' / 'Johnny Winters'
* Jimmy Vaughan' / 'Gary Nicholson'...and the list grew!
John eventually went to Amsterdam, NL. with his band to play the Summer of 1974. He liked it so much he spent 12 years living there playing around the Netherlands, England, Belgium & Germany for several years with the USO & NATO and a few band members from Texas plus some multi-talented International musicians!
In 1976 he bought a property in Amsterdam, partnered with 'Heinekens Brewery' and founded the 'Last Waterhole', a large Bar & Youth Hostel in the Red-light District. It was 'LIVE' music 7 nights per week for 8 years working with many Great bands such as,
* 'Asleep at the Wheel', / 'Old Tennis Shoes' / 'The Stranglers' / 'Doctor Hook's Medicine Show' / 'American Gypsies' / * 'Fabulous Thunderbirds / 'Cheap Trick' / 'Van Morrison's Band' / 'Cars' /
to name but a few! John sold the 'Last Waterhole' and returned to the USA & Las Vegas where he formed 'The Boogieman Band' in 1988
Chris Tofield - Vocals & All Guitars
Chris Tofield from Connecticut is a musician who has dedicated his life to sharpening his skill to a razor's edge and who truly enjoys his trade. He has maintained a strong work ethic that has kept him in business for over 25 years and built his solid reputation as a down to earth, no-nonsense performer and person to deal with.
Tofield, a seasoned journeyman musician, has performed with some of the top artists of the blues and rock world. Most recently, Chris was the guitarist and musical director for legendary soul/blues singer "Mighty" Sam McClain, a multiple Grammy Award and W.C. Handy Award nominee and an inductee in the Louisiana Blues Hall of Fame. Other artists Chris has performed with include James Montgomery, The Allman Brothers Band, Warren Haynes, Ronnie Earl, Savoy Brown, Toni Lynn Washington, Big Mike Griffin and many others
With McClain and others, Chris toured extensively across North America, Europe, U.K., Scandinavia and the Caribbean, appearing at many prestigious blues festivals and venues. In 2004, Chris headlined two highly successful tours of Eastern Europe, including performing on Romanian national TV.
Tofield co-produced, arranged and appeared on McClain's 2003 release "One More Bridge To Cross", which was nominated for a W.C. Handy Award for "Best Soul / Blues Album of the Year". He also wrote two songs for the CD, including the title track. Tofield has also released two critically acclaimed CDs; 1994's "self titled" CD and 2000''s" Broken Strings". Both received considerable airplay, earning Tofield the distinction of being "the 2nd most requested local artist of the year in 2003" on "Beef Stew's Sunday Night Blue Show" on WCCC in Hartford, CT; a 6 hour blues show on one of Southern New England's largest commercial radio stations, which reaches an audience of over 5 million listeners.
As an international blues/rock act for over 16 years, "Chris Tofield and The Bluesbenders" have left audiences hot, sweaty and satisfied time and time again with their intense, high-energy shows. This reputation has earned Tofield and the band 7 consecutive "Hartford Advocate Readers Poll Awards" for "Best Blues/Rock Band" in Connecticut. They have been finalists numerous times in The Blues Foundation's Blues Challenge competition and have opened for many legendary acts such as B.B King, Jeff Healey, Tower of Power, Robert Cray, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Edgar & Johnny Winter, Roomful of Blues and many others.
Since relocating to Las Vegas, Chris has been carving a niche for himself in "the entertainment capital of the world" by working with some of the city's top performers and musicians.
As Chris is quoted as saying "If I'm not having a good time, how can I expect my audience to?" One thing for sure, when Chris Tofield plays, everyone has a good time!!
Junior Brantley - Vocals & ALL THINGS KEYBOARD including Keyboard Bass.
A premier blues piano stylist and Milwaukee, WI native.
Junior first played piano with "Sonny Boy" Williamson as the replacement for a pianist that failed to show up one night. Then after a short stint as a band called Junior & the Classics, and record deals with RCA, & Magic Touch Records, he went to play with a very good blues Band called "Short Stuff' which released 2 Albums, and a hand full of 45s."
In 1993, after a period of playing piano with Leroy Airmaster, Junior Brantley joined "The Fabulous Thunderbirds"and was awarded a Gold Album! He toured the world with the "Hit" recording "Tough Enough". Junior was then recruited by the Thunderbirds' Texas blues guitar hero Jimmy Vaughan, to join The Jimmy Vaughan Band. He appears on the 1994 Sony/Epic release Strange Pleasure.
From there he became the keyboard player for "Roomful of Blues", and appeared in two motion pictures, where they were nominated for three Grammies, and toured more of the world.
Junior began playing with the Boogieman Band in 1996.
Bob Rosales on Vocals & Drums
Bob was born in San Francisco, Ca and moved to San Juan Bautista, Ca where his dad owned a bar and poker room. That's where he was bitten by the music bug standing at the jukebox. Bob and some buddies started a band playing Ventures & Johnny and the Hurricane tunes. Bob went on to work with R&B groups in Monterey, CA where he played with legends like T-Bone Walker, Lowell Fulson and Lord Luther. Bob worked up and down California and Nevada with performers like Bobby Hebb (Sonny) James & Bobby Purify ( I'm your puppet) In the mid 60's Bob became the house drummer at Frenchy's in Hayward Ca, opening for groups like Sly and the Family Stone, Cold Blood, Charlie Musselwhite and Tower of Power. Bob moved to Las Vegas in 1971 as the Stardust Casino relief drummer with The Al Gambino Enterprise. Bob played up and down The Strip with acts including Tommy Bell, The Coasters, The Del-Vikings, Cleo Jackson, Huck and the Soul Patrol, Palace Playmates Show and the Pinup Review and the list goes on and on till the lounges dried up in favor of KENO lounges. In the late 80's, Bob was introduced to John Earl's Boogieman Band, Las Vegas premier blues band enjoying a memorable 12 year stint opening for such greats as The Allman Brothers Band, James Cotton, Albert Collins and many more. Fast forward to 2013 and Bob's back with The Boogieman Band, enjoying playing The Blues, Rock & Roll and the great talents of John Earl, Junior Brantley, and Chris Tofield the crèam of the crop.
