The Istanbul duo recorded two demos, "Bouncing Off" and "Sing It Out." The latter was mixed by Norman Nitzsche, who has previously worked with Dntel, Masha Qrella, It’s A Musical.
After performing at many of Istanbul's hippest music venues such as Babylon Nublu, Salon İKSV or Peyote, the band gave a joint concert with Istanbul-based contemporary percussion band sa.ne.na in 2010, which went on to change the band's path dramatically.
After a striking performance,
sa.ne.na's Kerem Öktem and Amy Salsgiver joined Puik's Journey to turn the band's sound into a warmer and more analog one with a more "live" feeling, in comparison to the electronic-driven early recordings.
Now, as a quartet, Puik's Journey is putting final touches to its debut album at the Babajim Studios in Istanbul.
