Only the Beginning of the Adventure
{F.B.R} - Soundtrack Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(2 B Frank, Famous Amos)
(You know what it is)
Aye
Only the beginning
But I'm already winning, already spitting
Still living, been a minute since I was
In the middle of it, gonna love it anyway
One day gon' be my day
I'm talking 'bout the fame
Cause it's coming next
Right now just living
Check to check
Saving up for college
Been a wreck
But Imma talk my shit 'til the day of my death
I want it all
Ain't gon' settle for less
I'm gon' ball
Til I'm out of breath
I'm moving pawns, like this shit was chess
And I always thank God, 'cause I know I'm blessed
Dressed for success, like it's payday
I perform the best, like I'm the star of the play
Got highlights
Always play of the game
Shooting half-court
So you know the range
Staying relevant
As the seasons change, they say I'm deranged
With the way I change, cause I go with the flow
Not easily swayed
But easy to find
Must've ate a glow stick with the way I shine
I stand out, don't count me out
Never standing down
Brand me now
Wear it proud, 'til it's wearing out
So share a round
2 B Frank, shout it out
Bitch
I'm out on the town with the roof dropped down
I'm just another troubled youth
A dropout
But I got the mind-power, and I got the speed
Finna have these labels begging on their knees
I'm on a trip
Off the chocolate chip
I'm getting on a spaceship, and I'm never coming back
So that's a wrap
I ain't Santa Clause, bitch
Get your ass off my lap
I got tunnel vision, never let it out of my sight
Cause I'm killing these beats
Like I work for Dwight
I still remember when they doubted my plans
But I'm still tryna get me a crowd of fans
I just can't let go of what I got in my mind
Cause at this point, I'm just waiting on time
In the mean time
I'm working round the clock
Tryna get these hours in
Been a couple days shower-less
I got a couple friends living on a power trip
And an I.D. card that's counterfeit
But I'm not what you think, don't write me off
Even though the beat might be slightly off
I got the cheese like chedda, and it's spicy hot
Ask me "Will I ever stop?", I'd say "Likely not"
This the beginning, the dawn of a new era
I don't think about who's hanging out with whoever
Just let 'em be

I need some time to me
Only the beginning, flip to Side B

i really like how well this scene subverts expectations. you go through basically every far cry game assuming that the main antagonist is insane, and you assume joseph and his ramblings about the collapse are as well. and, yeah, they are, but he was also right. joseph knew this was coming. we sure didn’t.

Connor Albright

Because he was the only one in Hope County who had access to outside information and broadcasts. And in the beginning before he cuts off radio frequencies, you can hear reports of rising tensions in the world amongst nuclear superpowers. So while everyone was oblivious, Joseph had play-by-play updates of what was going out out there. So he knew, but not for the reasons the cult/game would like you to think.

Sean Laffey

@Connor Albright How does that fit in with the other ending where you decide to go for outside help? Wasn’t the county walled off and cut off from communications?

Rick O'Shay

@Connor Albright Except the nukes came from Far Cry 4's fictional country. Pagan Min had the nukes in his basement.

Maverick Jones

@Connor Albright what are your exact citations?

Melinda Szigeti

And what about Far Cry New Dawns game description?

The writers of this story captured the panic and terror of most characters as well as that one man's madness very well indeed.

Jack Lambert

Absolutely. Nobody acts unnaturally brave in this mission. Instead, they act human. Praying. Screaming with fear. It's a great mission.

MasteroChieftan

Despite the inaccuracies of how nukes work, this was a really cool ending and an awesome twist.

That One Sniper

For real. Is it accurate? Not remotely. Was it really fucking awesome and made for a great ending? %100
