Through the Glass
ЧУВСТВЕННАЯ МУЗЫКА - Stone Sour Lyrics

Don't know how much time has passed
Oh God, it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
How do you feel? That is the question
But I forget you don't expect an easy answer
When something like a soul becomes initialized
And folded up like paper dolls and little notes
You can't expect a bit of hope
And while you're outside looking in
Describing what you see
Remember what you're staring at is me
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
How much is real? So much to question
An epidemic of the mannequins
Contaminating everything
When thought came from the heart
It never did right from the start
Just listen to the noises
(Null and void instead of voices)
Before you tell yourself
It's just a different scene
Remember it's just different from what you've seen
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
And all I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
When no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you
I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
Oh God, it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
'Cause I'm looking at you through the glass
Don't know how much time has passed
All I know is that it feels like forever
But no one ever tells you that forever feels like home
Sitting all alone inside your head
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you
And it's the stars
The stars that shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars that lie to you
Who are the stars
Who are the stars, they lie
"Through the Glass" by Stone Sour is a song about feeling isolated and disconnected from the world around you. The lyrics reflect a sense of longing to connect with others, and questioning the reality of what we see and feel. The repetition of the lines, "I'm looking at you through the glass, Don't know how much time has passed" creates a sense of vulnerability and confusion. The feeling of forever is explored, as the lyrics discuss the idea that forever can feel like home- a kind of paradox that suggests that comfortable feelings of isolation can be more comforting than the uncertainty of connection.
The chorus, "And it's the stars, The stars that shine for you, And it's the stars, The stars that lie to you" suggests that there is a false comfort in the idea that there is something bigger than ourselves guiding us, and a painful realization that the things we once believed in- the "stars" that once shone for us- may be a lie. This song touches on themes of loneliness, self-doubt, and the search for meaning in a confusing world.

I still think that each of the protagonists should have been from a different house:
Harry-Gryffindor
Hermione-Ravenclaw
Ron-Hufflepuff
And in the last book Draco would have switched sides by joining them on the journey, making the four houses work together narratively speaking.

Then Harry could finally defeat the Firelord and bring peace to the four nations.

@Hydrogoniise yes, that too

Rowling isn't that good of a writer.

Thing is, Houses don't matter. They never mattered. Not if you take what Rowling implied at face value when you look at Harry's sorting ceremony and what Harry says to his kid in the epilogue of the last book (Cursed Child doesn't exist, shush). Harry going "not Slytherin, not Slytherin" and the Hat asks if Gryffindor would be better (or something similar). And like you pointed out, Hermione would've been a much better Ravenclaw and we have a kid like Cedric Diggory who would've been a much, much better Gryffindor compared to someone like Ron or Neville.
I think Rowling even stated somewhere (probably twitter, ymmv regarding if that makes it canon or not) that there are evil wizards and witches from all Houses except for Hufflepuff (because Hufflepuff couldn't be a more pathetic, ragtag House already)
Rowling isn't a good writer and she ignores her own rules, making shit up outside of her books that suddenly trump the written canon. Why did I like these books, why do I still treasure them? Fucking nostalgia.

@Nunya Nostalgia is one hell of a drug man.

What I can piece together about the use of time turners in this book is this:
1. McGonagall wanted to use Hermione as a guinea pig. It was apparently an experiment to see if overachieving students could benefit from it. (Nevermind that both Bill and Percy managed without one.)
2. Hermione has terrible time management skills. She seems to exclusively use it for classes and not for anything practical like sleep.
3. Hermione handed the time turner back over because she's an idiot.
4. Rowling wanted to have time travel.
Bonus 5. I personally think it should've had a single hour limit.

Hour cooldown with a limit before being used again?
Scape Goat
@SnowGrave I think you can only go back an hour, and it can only be used again once your reach the hour you initially turned it.
Though that poses its own problem, considering that you could have a scenario where you have 3 Travelers running around in the same hour.
SnowGrave
@Scape Goat fair point!
