Tina! Tina! Tina! Tina!

Out of the flames
A piece of brain in my hair
The wheels are melting
A ghost is screaming your name.

Tina! Tina!

Bleeding all around
Liquid metal through my veins
The radio's burning
A ghost is screaming your name

Tina! Tina! Tina! Tina!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to M83's "Don't save us from the flames" describe a dystopian world filled with chaos and destruction. The singer alludes to being caught in flames and the aftermath of it. The phrase "Out of the flames, a piece of brain in my hair," suggests that the singer has experienced severe injury - something that is visualized in the next line, "The wheels are melting." The lyrics convey the idea of being unable to escape a catastrophic event, metaphorically speaking, as if the flames represent something inescapable in our lives, such as trauma, grief, or addiction. The repetition of "Tina!" at the end of each verse may indicate a desperate plea for help or seeking someone to share the burden of the singer's pain.

The second verse continues with the same imagery of destruction, but with the addition of "Liquid metal through my veins," suggesting that the singer's suffering has become so intense that it has taken on a physical form. The line "The radio's burning" alludes to the idea that the outside world is experiencing the same chaos as the singer, making it impossible to receive any help.

Overall, the lyrics to "Don't save us from the flames" create a picture of a world that has been torn apart and individuals who are unable to escape their fate. The recurring theme of Tina's name suggests that there may be some sort of connection between the singer and Tina, maybe a relationship, a loved one, or simply someone who could offer them comfort.

How It Should Have Ended:

Luke: I feel the good in you. The conflict.

Vader: There is NO conflict.

At that moment Ahsoka shows up.

Ahsoka: What exactly did I hear from you right now?

Vader: Goddamit, Ahsoka! I had only ONE personal moment with my son and you ruined it!

“It was said that you would DESTROY the Sith, Not JOIN them”

Obi-wan’s delivery of every line over the lava river gives me chills, heartbreaking stuff.

@moinmahmud6265

well he brought the sith and jedi to their knees

@Zach-lv5qs

That whole scene on Mustafar was filled with excellent delivery from McGregor. The way he said "Let her go" both times. The way he said "You have done that yourself." "My allegiance is to the republic, to democracy!" I'm glad you used the word "delivery," because I feel that's what made that scene besides the unbelievable duel.

Chills through my bones every single time. Best Star Wars scene in my opinion.

@petej6609

Yeah mate I totally agree. When the vocals were used in sc38 reimagined. It still gives me chills

@vegansaxon3962

The other day at my job when a fellow worker made a simple mistake, I reenacted this and with the same dramatic passion as Obi Wan...there were maybe 10 other employees that heard me...a few chuckles and a few WTF looks...but sadly there were no chills.

When you think about it : Darth Vader had a miserable life. When you are young you respect heroes, but when you grown up, you understand villains, and Darth Vader is the greatest villain.
