No Other Love
ペリー・コモ [feat. Henri René and His Orchestra & Chorus] Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No other love have I
Only my love for you
Only the dream we knew
No other love

Watching the night go by
Wishing that you could be
Watching the night with me
Into the night I cry

Hurry home, come home to me
Set me free
Free from doubt and free from longing

Into your arms I'll fly
Locked in your arms I'll stay
Waiting to hear you say
No other love have I
No other love

(Into the night I cry)
Hurry home, come home to me
Set me free
Free from doubt and free from longing

Into your arms I'll fly
Locked in your arms I'll stay
Waiting to hear you say
No other love have I

No other love

(No other love)
No other love

Perry Como was such a gentleman. I was an LEO at LGA and I brought my parents and two aunts up to the Eastern 1st Class lounge and Perry walked in. Needless to say my aunts went crazy. It turns out they were on the same flight to West Palm Beach and he walked to their seats and had a conversation with them. That really made their flight and talked about it for years.

Funny -- I'm 60, and the only time I've ever heard this was on the "Victory at Sea" albums - as an instrumental - we had at home in the '60s. So, today is the day I know this is a Perry Como song.

I heard this song played in the background of a montage of WWll pictures. It was also played during Victory at Sea when I was a little girl . It means even more now that most of those GI,s are gone now especially my dad and my uncle. Love to hear Perry sing again.9:05pm.😢 9:05pm.

@alanmagid

No autotune back then. Just wonderfully controlled singing, rich musicality, sensitivity to the lyric.

@michaelg.golden7327

Terrific and the best version of this song and unfortunately not many singers recorded this beautiful song.

@adrianjohnson7920

Not necessary-- Nobody could ever sing it better than Mr Como. He OWNS this song.

@michaelg.golden7327

@@adrianjohnson7920 I agree. This also was in Victory At Sea.

@fifty9forty3

Perry Como, in my opinion the best of the crooners for smoothness of delivery, tone, vibrato and style. He was exceptional in character, personality and talent.

+five381 When I lived in Maspeth, Queens, my neighbor was once Como's personal tailor
