Isn't She Lovely
Freddy Cole Lyrics

Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn't she lovely made from love
Isn't she pretty
Boy, I'm so happy
We have been heaven blessed
I can't believe what God has done
Through us he's given life to one
But isn't she lovely made from love
Isn't she lovely
Life and love are the same
Life is Aisha
The meaning of her name
Londie, it could have not been done
Without you who conceived the one
That's so very lovely made from love
In Freddy Cole's song "Isn't She Lovely," the lyrics express the deep admiration and joy of a father for his newborn daughter. The song captures the overwhelming love and wonder that comes with the arrival of a precious child.
The lyrics begin by marveling at the beauty and wonder of the baby girl. The father is in awe of how something so perfect and lovely could come from love. He acknowledges that he never imagined that love could create something as incredible as his daughter.
As the song continues, the lyrics emphasize the angelic qualities of the child, describing her as pretty and the best that the angels have to offer. The father expresses his immense happiness and gratitude for being blessed with a child. He feels deeply connected to the divine, recognizing that what God has done through them is the gift of life to this beautiful daughter.
The final verse of the song reveals the significance of the child's name, Aisha, which means "life." The lyrics highlight the profound connection between life and love. The father acknowledges that none of this could have been possible without the mother, Londie, who conceived this lovely child out of love.
Overall, "Isn't She Lovely" is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty, wonder, and miracle of life. It captures the overwhelming love and appreciation a father feels for his newborn daughter, acknowledging the power of love and the blessings that come with the arrival of a child.

I selected this song to dance with my youngest daughter at her wedding. It summed up everything for me. Thank you Mr. Cole, rest easy, and I wish you a peaceful journey.

I’ve just heard this man sing for the first time in my life. I am shocked that his voice is just as pure as his brother Nat’s was.
Why was Freddy not as well known as Nat? To me Nat was the best, until I heard Freddy, who was just as good. Wow.
