EYES
-PHANTOM- Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Why, why, why, why, why
Why oh why oh why
Oh why oh why
Did you look at me
Lost in Her Eyes
I felt not worthy
Worthless in your stare
Worthless in your time
Worthless in your love
Worthless in your eyes
I can not help it
I thought you felt it
Lost in Her Eyes
I felt not worthy
Worthless in your stare
Worthless in your time
Worthless in your love
Worthless in your eyes
I can not help it
I thought you felt
Suffocating
Why
Why are you entertaining
Why
Don't entertain me
Why
Can you really blame me
Why
Why
Why oh why oh why
Oh why oh why
Did you look at me
Lost in Her Eyes
I felt not worthy
Worthless in your stare
Worthless in your time
Worthless in your love
Worthless in your eyes
I can not help it
I thought you felt it
You act like you felt it

I know you felt it
I cannot help it

Overall Meaning

These lyrics convey a sense of deep longing, insecurity, and doubt in oneself. The repetition of "why" throughout the song suggests the singer's desperate need for answers and understanding. They question why someone they are interested in would look at them, as they feel unworthy and worthless in that person's eyes.

The phrase "Lost in Her Eyes" represents the intensity and captivation the singer feels when they look into the person's eyes. However, instead of feeling validated or loved, they feel even more worthless. The repeated mention of being "worthless in your stare, time, love, and eyes" highlights their deep-seated belief that they are undeserving of affection or attention.

The recurring phrase "I can not help it, I thought you felt it" suggests that the singer acknowledges their own vulnerability and inability to control their feelings. They believed that the other person could sense their emotions, but this perception isn't reciprocated, leading to feelings of suffocation and confusion.

The line "Don't entertain me, can you really blame me" expresses the singer's desire for authenticity and a genuine connection. They question why the other person would lead them on, entertaining their hopes and emotions, without truly reciprocating their feelings. The repetition of "why" at the end of the song emphasizes the singer's continued search for answers and resolution.

Overall, the lyrics delve into themes of self-doubt, longing, and the confusion that can arise when one's feelings and perceptions are not mirrored in a romantic context. It explores the complex emotions that accompany unreciprocated love and the feeling of being unworthy of affection.

@Biggrassyfoot

This should be at the top tbh!!

I agree with everything you said. Kooleen definitely did a big yikes when she made that tutorial. I didnt get to watch it before it was deleted but from the things i watched, it sounds way more awful compared to her usual humor.

BUT she has apologized and ik a lot of people were hoping she would apologized in youtube, it still doesn’t change the fact that she apologized.

So I only hope she has learned from her mistakes ^^

Also the Colleen thing is so disgusting for me. Racism is bad of course but when one is just someone saying something bad and the other is acting suspiciously around children (and other things related to children)

Hell nah 😓
