I became a Christian at a young age and thought I had left my worldly desires, but I still wonder if I'm missing out on the fun I gave up. I struggle with lust and have never had sex, but sometimes I feel like I need to try it. However, I know Christ is more important than anything else and I've remained faithful. I've resisted temptation, turned down beautiful women, and kept my desires in check with the Holy Spirit. I'm content with what I have and won't trade it for anything.

I want to be honest with you, God. Some people think that women dress provocatively because they want attention, and the flesh is what causes our desires to burn. However, this doesn't justify why men prey on young girls. We must fight against our sinful desires and glorify God through intimacy. We must treat women with respect and realize that they are not objects. Having sex is a gift from God, and we dishonor Him when we misuse it.

This leads to all sorts of sinful behaviors, such as blaming women for what they wear and blaming the media for what they produce. We need to realize that we are the ones who have twisted this gift and glorify ourselves instead of God.

My fleshly desires are always present, and when I go looking for something to fulfill me, sin is always lurking. It gets me every time, and I feel burdened and hurt inside. I pretend like everything is fine, but I am not satisfied with what I have. I hide my sins because I'm afraid of getting caught, and I beg God to forgive me. I know I need the gospel to see my sin and turn from it. Sin leads to death, but Christ can set me free from it and save me.

My spirit is willing to do what's right, but my flesh is weak and easily tempted. These are just tests to see if I am truly faithful to God. He is more powerful than any worldly pleasure, and I want to treasure Him above all else. All I want is to flee from sin and be free from it.

Being a man is not just about managing your sexual temptations or sinning less. It's about laying down all of your efforts and strength and trusting in Jesus. He alone can get you through your struggles and make you free, and that's what it means to truly man up.
