Frozen
6. You're You (Outtake) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Frozen at the moment of death
The beginning of the end
The soul is caught in limbo
Unthawed alive, un-repent
The body icy cold
The mind paralyzed
In mid thought
A conscious brain is traumatized
Frost reaches the inner core
Of the root
Into your holes
Black as night
Eternal ice- eternal ice!
The warmth of life
Drained from you
The cold of death what you feel
Never will you bask in heat
Your frost bit heart will never beat
Frozen at the moment of death
Cryogenically re-animated
Awake after years to murder at random
Unthawed killer
Living terror
Has awaken

Frozen at the moment of death
Cryogenically re-animated
Awake after years
To murder at random
The frigid, the undead
The frozen
The bloodshed
A life now reborn to
A world soon to be dead now
The frigid, the undead
The frozen
The bloodshed
A life now reborn to
A world soon to be dead now
A killer from the past alive to kill the future
Awake to kill again and hunt
The unsuspecting
In my grave I travel time
Suspended animation
Alive to kill again and murder in the future
Frozen at the moment of death
Cryogenically re-animated
Awake after years to murder at random
Frozen at the moment of death
The beginning of the end

The soul is caught in limbo
Now awake to kill again

Overall Meaning

The song "Frozen" by Outtake is a dark, eerie and chilling narrative about death and reanimation. The lyrics speak of a person frozen at the moment of death, reanimated years later to kill at random, and living as an unthawed killer. The imagery clearly depicts the helpless state of a victim whose soul is caught in limbo and whose body is icy cold. The singer talks about the conscious brain being traumatized and the frost reaching down to the inner core of the root. The chorus emphasizes that the warmth of life is drained from the victim and the cold of death is all they feel. The song sets the mood perfectly with its haunting melody, giving a sense of foreboding and impending doom.

Listening to this made me want to make a song like this but this time him singing to Elsa. After a few brainstorming ideas, I ended up making this some kind of big joke. Don't read if you haven't watched the movie, I added some spoilers. Please, No Mean or hateful comments, You can just Dislike it if you hate it, There's no need for you to add hateful comments. I also added like a few things.
__
Other people walk through life
And you prefer to run,
Other people face their fears,
And you prefer to turn.
Yeah your hair is pale blonde,
And you got icy-cold blue eyes,
You prefer to stay isolated,
And won't fall for all my lies~

You're you,
You're you,
And that's what makes me grin
You're you,
You're you,
I'll be here for you until the end.

'Ugh Hans listen. I- '
You don't have to say a thing,
I know you hate my guts,
I know I'll never gain your love,
there never will be an 'Us'

Sadly I know that you-,
Most likely want me dead
(Elsa: Duh)
I left your sister to freeze to death
And threatened to chop off your head.

I'm me,
I'm me,
It's the ugly truth you see,
I'm me,
I'm-
(Elsa: Wait what? I thought this song was about me...)
(Hans: oh Yeah... Clears throat)

You're you,
You're you,
And that's what makes me grin,
You're you,
You're you,
I'll ignorantly follow you
to the end.

This would have been a great villain song.

Because no one would have seen it coming.

Also, it's adorable.

I think it's a little sad that so much of the romantic nature of this song seems lost on most viewers, judging form the comments.
I mean, yes, in the movie he is evil, yes, most of you hate him, yes he interrupst her on that one point. But still.
The basic message of this song is: I realise all your flaws, I really see them, but I don't care and they don't make me love you any less. That's pretty dang romantic and it lacks steriotypical (false) flattery.
Is it really defining, that in the end, the guy was lying? We grant Love is an Open door that it's romantic, although he's lying there too. It doesn't matter.

Esteicy

I mean in the first drafts Hans wasn't even a villain so assuming he was secretly evil in this one is weird

Imagine interpreting a song this badly
