Sometimes by choice, sometimes by necessity, 7 SHARP 9 have often found themselves in uncharted waters ever since their inception in 2000. Ask any member of the band who handles their booking, management, promotion, distribution, or any other aspect of their career and odds are the answer will be, "We do it ourselves." This answer becomes rather amazing when one discovers that 7 SHARP 9 is a full-time, money making band performing approximately 200 dates each year from coast to coast while their original music continues to be added to radio stations nationally as well as major television shows on MTV, VH1, E! Network, Bravo and Fox Sports just to name a few. Since being voted ATLANTA'S BEST NEW BAND in the 2002 Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta 7 SHARP 9 have forged ahead, piling up the accomplishments. The band was recently ranked No. 1 on Alternative Addiction .com's Top Ten Unsigned Bands. They were also included on the Alternative Addiction compilation CD "The Addiction V.7" along with major artists such as Dishwalla and Emerson Hart of Tonic. 7 SHARP 9 placed in 2 categories at the Just Plain Folks Music Organization 2004 Music Awards, held in Santa Ana CA. Winners were chosen from over 10,000 albums and 140,000 songs. The recent single 'My Way' was just nominated for 'Best Hard Rock Song' in the Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Awards. Over 350,000 songs were submitted this year. The band has performed 3 years in a row at Atlanta's Peach Drop New Year's Eve celebration...the largest New Year's event in the entire Southeast. And the band was just recently invited to perform for an unprecedented 4th time! 7s9 have opened for national acts such as Collective Soul, Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain, Tyler Hilton, Aslyn, and REO Speedwagon. 7 SHARP 9 still enjoy performing to their hometown fans in Atlanta, GA where the band stays active in various important projects such as The Children's Miracle Network/ Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Relay For Life and their very own Teachers Rock Foundation.
