i had a pair of 2.5 inch insoles which i used. gave me exactly 2.5 inch boost. similairly, i now own a pair of hiking boots with a 4 inch elevation, they give me no less than 4 inches. the "half advertised boost" only applies to low quality brands. if you're buying from a brand like calto (which i recommend) the lifts will add exactly the advertised height, no less

It's great for me as a person who is 5.5ft and has to ride a bike and can only put one toe on the ground
Edit afterbuying it it increases the height but not noticeable to others as much /after installing it your shoe will be a flip flop your foot back side doesn't get the back support(but you can adjust by removing 1 plate) /not for everyday usage for wearing it for full day or in office where you have to run SHORT REVIEW :- worth a little bit

So for any young man that is insecured about his height, workout, learn martial arts, and train your mind, or develop another skill that makes you proud to be who you are.
