Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Jungle life
I'm far away from nowhere
On my own like Tarzan Boy

Hide and seek
I play along while rushing cross the forest
Monkey business on a sunny afternoon

Jungle life
I'm living in the open
Native beat that carries on

Burning bright
A fire that blows the signal to the sky
I sit and wonder does the message get to you

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other
Chance tonight
Gimme the other, gimme the other
Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other world

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Jungle life
You're far away from nothing
It's all right
You won't miss home

Take a chance
Leave everything behind you
Come and join me
You won't be sorry
It's easy to survive

Jungle life
We're living in the open
All alone like Tarzan's boy

Hide and seek
We'll play along while rushing 'cross the
Forest
Monkey business on a sunny afternoon

Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other
Chance tonight, Oh Yeah
Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other
Night to night
You won't play

Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other
Chance tonight, Oh Yeah
Night to night
Night to night
Gimme the other, gimme the other

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Tarzan Boy by the 80's Disco Band talks about living in the jungle as an escape from the city life. In the song, the singer describes living a carefree life in the jungle like Tarzan, playing hide-and-seek and monkey business. The refrain, "Night to night, gimme the other, gimme the other chance tonight," seems to suggest that the jungle life is one of excitement and the singer is encouraging others to take a chance and join him. The lyrics also suggest that living in the jungle is liberating and that one won't miss home.

The song is an example of the popular Euro Disco music of the 80s, which was characterized by the use of synthesizers, catchy melodies, and repetitive dance rhythms. The lyrics are simple and repetitive, but they convey a sense of adventure and freedom that fits the upbeat and fast-paced music. Tarzan Boy was a big hit in Europe and North America, and its catchy chorus and infectious beat made it a staple in dance clubs and on the radio.

Overall, the lyrics of Tarzan Boy paint a picture of a carefree and adventurous life in the jungle, far away from the stresses of modern life. The song was a huge hit during its time and has remained popular with fans of 80s disco music to this day.

How did you find it? I'm glad you did =)

@ASTHMAVideoZ

I found it today after 9 Years

@euromatlox

Now when found, check also Ken Laszlo's version of this song. I think it's even better than this Baltimora's version, but as I like Ken's voice so much, it might be the reason.

This song came on the radio as I was driving home this evening, and brought back a memory of the most significant day of my life. Besides today, the last time I heard this song was in the afternoon of May 11, 1987. How can I be so precise? That was the day my childhood dream, to become an Airline Pilot came true. I had just completed my final interview with Continental Airlines and was offered the job. As I got in my car and started driving home I turned on radio and this song had just begun playing, and I was singing it loudly. That was the beginning of my 34 year career with Continental/United, which ended last year, when I turned 65, the FAA's mandatory retirement age.

@FLtreasure

I first heard this song when I was walking down the main street in Olongapo City , Philippines. It was blaring out the doorway of one of the many bars in that town. The following year, I was a civilian again, and hired into aircraft maintenance with Continental at Newark.

@mazombak
