Introduction
A.C.T Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Three years is a long time when you're this young
Throwing that all away on someone
Who turned from your favorite person
To your least favorite in a matter of months is shattering
Completely defeating
This album is a story of love, heartbreak and what's come after
I'm not over you, but I've accepted that you're bad for me
You're no longer the person I fell in love with
The negative effects from you still linger within me
And probably will for a long time
They're the only memory of you that means anything anymore

I hope you hear this
Thanks, for nothing

For those who are reading this comment and are struggling... I see you and you're not alone 🧡️

To me the first step is challenging our inner voice versus just accepting everything it says... which takes practice, but I've found is well worth it. After all the most important relationship we will ever have is with ourselves.

Thank you I needed to read this.

I'm looking into this now. I am recovering from insomnia, and today I'm supposed to have a first date, but my thoughts were racing last night, and needless to say I didn't sleep. I put too much importance on sleep, and then the worries about the date. The mind truly just wants to help us, but it seems to cause problems at the wrong time.

How many fingers am I holding up?

@Sean did you hit that?

I was struggling with acceptance for a long time. I had even gone to the Zen institute to help me with all of my problems and even then I knew I still have a dream/dreams. I'm glad I woke up today feeling like it's okay that people don't understand me and that I'm not alone. Even though I knew this I couldn't focus on what I wanted to, because (with my seizures and thoughts making this all worse) I was focusing on my thoughts and literally in my head looking AT! my thoughts. We all do this, but I also believe following your heart and dreams is so important. Gain wisdom, be you, we all know what acceptance is, have love and be positive. <3

Thank you. I have been rehabilitated, thus no need to worry. Place confidence instead of doubt and watch with wonder.

Frames To Mind

Values change over the span of life due to external changes, such as death in family, getting lucky if you were not, moving to a different culture, or getting stuck and bullied where you grow up… so, at that point the human will feel lost as the values do not work anymore to hold on, therefore one need to take a chance to change ones values! This is really the first step of acceptance for most people when things in life get overwhelmed and impossible to navigate through! Accept that change of your values is a part of your life span just like seasons change and then understand is Your chance to go forward and build New values that won’t be the ones your family and culture installed in you but if you take this chance they will become yours and yours Only!
Good luck from 🇸🇪

I had this therapy recommended to me as part of my program for chronic pain. It may help my emotions, but I don't see how it can do anything for severe physical pain.
