temptation
A.E.O.S. Presents Lyrics

Found your way home
But you don't know how to live
Found your own room
But you don't know how to sleep
Found your favorite book
But you don't know how to read
You can count on me
You can, you can count on me
Found your way home
But you don't know how to live
Found your own room
But you don't know how to sleep
Found your favorite book
But you don't know how to read
You can count on me
You can, you can count on me
I don't need anybody
I don't need any help
It's what I tell myself
It isn't going well
The doors are open no fee
But I'm still looking for a key
My own thoughts are killing me
Temptations
Temptations are crashing me down
You can, you can count on me
Temptations
Temptations are crashing me down
You can, you can count on me
I'm looking like a fool
I'm hearing voices too
They're saying
Your thoughts are getting to you
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Come from your head (to you)
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Poof then you're dead
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Come from your head (to you)
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Poof then you're dead
(Temptations)
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Come from your head (to you)
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Poof then you're dead
(Temptations are crashing me down)
Bad thoughts, bad thoughts
Poof then you're dead
Temptations
Temptations are crashing me down
You can count on me
You can, you can count on me
Found your way home
But you don't know how to live
Found your own room
But you don't know how to sleep
Found your favorite book
But you don't know how to read

You can count on me
You can, you can count on me

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Temptation" by A.E.O.S. Presents reveal a stark and haunting portrayal of a person's inner struggles with temptation, as they seek to find their way in the world. The song conveys the message of how returning to a familiar or comfortable place does not always mean that a person has found peace within themselves. Although the singer has found their way home and has a place to sleep, they still cannot escape their internal turmoil. Their favorite book nothing more than a decoration because they cannot even read it.

The singer sees themselves as being self-sufficient and independent, claiming that they don't need anyone's help, yet a feeling of emptiness still lingers. The lyrics "It's what I tell myself, it isn't going well" shows that the person is trying to convince themselves that everything is okay when in reality they are struggling. The "doors are open with no fee" meaning that the things that they need are readily available but they still can't find happiness. The singer believes that their own thoughts are killing them, unable to escape the temptations that continuously pull them back down. At the end of the song, the singer pleads with the listener, stating that they can count on them despite the internal struggle, highlighting the pain of their battle with temptation.

While there are elements of truth here, this is too simplistic. And make no mistake, marriage is a BIG DEAL for God and not something to over simplify. God also hates divorce!!

So we have a responsibility to seek God on this matter, to fast and pray even, to MAKE SURE we are going to marry the right woman (and the same for the woman seeking a husband).

MAKE SURE that God has brought you together and certainly for born again Christians, you HAVE TO marry a born again/saved Christian. Dating and marrying an unbeliever is not biblical and should never happen.

Marriage is a very big deal in God’s eyes. Don’t rush in. Make sure that he/she is the one God has for you.

2 Corinthians 6:14 - Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

@reaper5454

1) Instead of "Ew" she'll say "yes"

2) She will always want to be with you every day

3) She will say "I do"

4) Then you sign a paper with the government that basically means if she decides she doesn't want to be married anymore she can take everything and turn you into her slave while she lives it up.

And that kids is called marriage

"man's role/woman's role"

There really is no such thing 🤦🏽

Both need to be capable of providing and protecting as needed.

Both need to be capable of loving and nurturing as needed.

If you cannot comprehend this and are not prepared to take on either role to assist in your partner's growth and the overall growth of your connection and family, when and where it's necessary, you aren't a whole person yet and you shouldn't be in a relationship with anyone other than god.

Please stop indulging in and spreading these lies about a "woman's role" and a "man's role" because it is nonsense that isn't of Source at all.

Everyone is both, whether you recognize that or not, and refusing to be pigeonholed into one role over another isn't "ungodly," allowing yourself to conform to the Lie of Misogyny IS 💯👀

Heed my Words: if you Truly wish to Follow Source, you will turn from your bigoted ways and go Inward for the Truth.

Stop looking to other humans to guide you and believing their lies blindly.

Namaste to the True Believers 💜🙏🏽🕊️

@shannonriley8299

@@rickswordfire4774 we all have issues sir, but its takes two to tangle, so put some of the blame where it resides....but men generally give way more than we ever receive from women in general.

@@rickswordfire4774 also, i am almost done with my RN degree and I have a ton of damaged ie divorced, single mothers chasing me...a side of beef in a famine has a better chance of survival than I do. thats what I feel like, do they want me for me or just another meal ticket till the divorce laws take half?

@shaunsteele6926

I'm a Christian man who was looking for a wife since about the age of 20. I didn't find her until I was 38. In those 18 long years I made a lot of mistakes with women, and it wasn't until I completely gave up on ever getting married and devoted my entire life to Christ that I finally met my wife. It should be noted that she wasn't at all what I was expecting physically. She's a beautiful woman, but she wasn't my usual "type". However once I got to know her, she was everything I ever wanted in a wife.

@ThroughMyLins

That's a great story thanks for sharing!

@Li0nshare

What does that mean tho

@shaunsteele6926

@@Li0nshare what does what mean?

@ThroughMyLins

@@shaunsteele6926 i think he’s asking, what we’re expecting, Vs who you feel in love with. I think many people end up falling in love with someone they least expect, but that keeps it exciting! 😊💝
