You're both right about the logo issue.

Hindsight is 20/20, but the big problem is that you haven't taken the time to build a recognizable logo.

For example, TYT has a lot of affiliates... and they have a recognizable logo. This means, any affiliated content can have the "little bug" in the corner without being intrusive.

If you had a logo all your own, you could put it in the corner and people would know she's an affiliate of your network. The big problem though... is that you haven't condensed your network to a logo yet... even now. You would have to put your full name at the bottom right, and people would have to actually read the logo. "Adam Carolla". It steals the attention... maybe people don't know what it says... maybe people assume that Adam Carolla is an advertiser... it's just messy.

Logos are not really to be seen or read... they are supposed to be peripherally noticed. The "Adam Carolla" logo has not been condensed to a point where it can be peripherally noticed without stealing attention.

If you had stepped back a bit, took some time to develop a logo, and THEN done your bug, you'd both be better off.

Also, the logos you do use are not icons... they are fully spelled "Adam Carolla Show" logos. Think "Nike Swish". Not only that, but you keep changing the damn logo. It's no fucking wonder it's a lousy icon up to this point.

Take the Ben Shapiro logo as an example. Sure, it has his full name and show name on it, but it's recognizeable from afar because of the trapazoids and simple colors.

You got too fancy with your logo.

You want my suggestion? Have an A with a spade inside it, and a C around it like the comedy central C's. Instantly recognizeable. Easily animated. Make it. KEEP IT... and the next time you have tighter advertising constraints, you have a REAL logo.

She acted like associating with Adam was hurting her podcast because her liberal twat guests don't like Adams politics. She should have been GRATEFUL that he allowed her to do a podcast on HIS platform. I guess she was offended that Adam was unkind when he described his reasons for firing her? She keeps saying he mischaracterized her, but that's just not true, and ironically hearing her side is what makes that clear.

They're both kind of correct in this case. She has too much going on and Carolla isn't quite good enough for her to do the Quivers lackey thing. At the same time he is 100% correct to get rid of her. I remembered this way back. This whole issue happened because Adam fired her without any warning to Alison or the fans. When the show came back from the yearly break Adam coldly explained that Alison wasn’t part of the show and moved on, which understandably upset a lot of fans. Fans wanted more info on the situation to which Adam said nothing until people started taking out on the new host Gina. That’s why there having this back and forth, mainly to clear things up so they can move on. Neither are angry or bitter about one another, I’m sure Alison understands why Adam made that decision but the way he went about it seems mean and unfair for someone who worked on the show for 4 years. You don’t have to chose a side.

I don’t think her point is that Adam is lying. What she points out is that Adam doesn’t communicate at all about any issues he has, and sometimes he hears things he wants to hear instead of what is actually said. Given that Adam admits he fired her over email and never had any conversations with her prior to that, it seems like she is right about that. He can fire her for whatever reason or no reason, but the way he did it does make him look kind of like an asshole. I wouldn’t fire someone like that, especially after so many years, I would talk to them in person just out of decency.

It really isn’t. I wasn’t super upset when Alison was let go. I had been listening to ACS about a year at that point. Have you been listening to Carolla Classics? The old clips that have Alison as cohost show just how she is light years ahead of Gina. So much so that I have a hard time listening to new ACS’s or “classics” with Gina. She’s not funny, her news story’s are horrible, not to mention has the most annoying forced laugh I’ve ever heard and adds basically nothing positive to his show. You can tell Alison is a comedian where Gina just vomits from her mouth. Listen to Carolla Classics to see the difference!!

Pence's policy about not being alone with any female whom he's not personally associated with is a GOOD policy in today's world, where a woman only needs to accuse a man of anything, true or not, and he's branded for it. There was never an exact $ amount of what Adam wanted from her. Who knows how much $ Allison was going to have to pay for medical bills. So too much of of this is non specific and unknown.

Except she wasn’t going to make any money. She was essentially an employee and it was complete shit for Adam to ask her for additional money for his legal defense. That would be the day I would give my company my paycheck to help them fight their legal battle.

I think it's easy for her to forget that Adam comes from a place where he literally lived half his life at the time this took place with no more than $100 to his name at any given point in time and most days being able to purchase a whole extra value meal would be a special occasion - but if he had a friend who was helping him out by providing an avenue to jumpstart his career and they came to him and asked for help to make an opportunity work for both of them, his answer would 100% be yes, because doing the job that needs to be done with the people you trust to get it done has always been his ethic. And he's going to someone who he is literally providing an avenue to becoming famous for and saying "hey, this thing that's making us money and could very well make us both a lot more money in the future.........well it's in jeopardy but we are going to fight for it, are you in?" and even though she was willing to help, the immediate response was that of hesitation so it only makes sense that he heard "no". He let her go because he'll never admit it but this had to emotionally hurt more than a little bit for him to invest in someone so much to have them come back and basically say that they don't trust that he's going to continue looking out for her. He thought he had someone working WITH him who was looking at the bigger picture and it became painfully evident that this person only perceived him as the boss, the. man, asking for something extra with no benefit on her end. To him - she could have worded it in 100 different ways, but she was basically saying "no, I don't trust you enough to do that". Had she just said "yes, whatever we need to do" in that moment, even if she had to go back later and then explain to him that it made her tight on funds on some way, I can easily imagine he would have made her whole three times over once it was all said and done.

@@orange555 i'm kind of glad he finally just ditched the whole crew. I'm sure Gina is a good hearted person, but she kind of grated my nerves. I used to fast forward through the segments that were just her bits. It's funny, though about the outside comment - I always listen to his show when I'm doing my walks or yardwork.

She's making too big a deal of altering her graphic designs, the ones that cost her "hundreds of dollars". She says both "I wanted them to be as small as possible" then sights the price of redoing them as being another reason - seems disingenuous to me. It wouldn't be a huge job, and considering she actively opted out of contributing to the court case, it would have been a drop in the ocean compared to what she could have contributed.

i love that my employer can fire me at any time they want no questions asked but when its a woman in Hollywood there has to be a valid reason why. adam wanted to fire her, so he did. end of story.

Seems like Alison wanted to branch out on her own as time went on, and was probably rude about it, and Adam responded her by firing her rudely. Neither of them are totally in the wrong or right.
