In an interview with www.spinner.com, Sudol shared how she came up with the name "(I) had a bunch of books open on a table, "a fine frenzy" jumped off a page of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' [Shakespeare] and it was just right, though every now and then I wonder if it's a bit ... flowery."
Sudol developed the sound of A Fine Frenzy - hypnotic piano arrangements under classic American melody fused into irresistible, atmospheric songs with the power to reach around the world.
The second album, Bomb in a Birdcage, was released on 8 September 2009. A third album, Pines, was released in 2012.

FEVER
A Fine Frenzy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Never know how much I care
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bear
[Chorus]
You give me fever, when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever all through the night
Sun lights up the daytime
The moon lights up the night
I light up when you call my name
And you know I'm gonna treat you right
[Chorus]
Everybody's got the fever
That is something you all know
Fever isn't such a new thing
Fever started long ago
Romeo loved Juliet
Juliet she felt the same
When he put his arms around her
He said "Julie baby you're my flame"
Thou givest fever, when we kisseth
Fever with thy flaming youth
Fever, I'm afire
Fever yea I burn forsooth
Captain Smith and Pocahontas
Had a very mad affair
When her Daddy tried to kill him
She said "Daddy-O don't you dare"
You give me fever, with his kisses
Fever when he holds me tight
Fever, I'm his Misses
Oh daddy won't you treat him right
Now you've listened to my story
Here's the point I have made
Chicks were born to give you fever
Be it Fahrenheit or Centigrade
They give you fever, when you kiss them
Fever if you live and learn
Fever, till you sizzle
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
What a lovely way to burn
The song Fever by A Fine Frenzy is an interpretation of the classic Fever, which was initially sung by Peggy Lee in 1958, though the lyrics and the melody vary slightly. The song is about the sensation of being in love, and how it can cause a feverish feeling within our bodies, making us feel consumed and passionate at the same time. Throughout the song, the singer speaks about the impact that their lover has on their life, and how they can feel this burning sensation within them when they are around them.
The chorus of the song speaks about the different ways in which the person's lover makes them feel feverish, including when they kiss and hold them tightly. The singer uses different examples of historic relationships, including Romeo and Juliet and Captain Smith and Pocahontas, to show that this fever sensation is not new, but has been around for centuries. As the song progresses, the singer encourages people to embrace the feverish feeling and treat their loved ones well, as it is a natural part of being in love.
Overall, the song is about passion and the intense feelings that come with being in love. It shows that love can make us feel feverish and consumed, but it's a lovely way to burn.
