@Sauron "You really need to justify and rationalize into the ground the fictional abilities..." That's funny considering you were doing that exact thing as a rationalization to why he should not have slipped.
All I did was emphasize how him slipping has nothing to do with his powers. And I didn't even try that hard. It's a very easy thing to explain why Scorpion would slip on solid ice... that's breaking... while throwing someone.
You comparing this to the Star Wars Continuity errors is such a reach... they're not even in the same ballpark.
This has nothing to do with the story or plot. He slipped. It's not that deep. And yes, you can tell that this movie was on a tight budget, probably also working on time crunches as that's apparent by a lot of the movie but like I said, this isn't one of them.
I don't have problems just because I pointed out your comment was silly. Listen, I know my orginal comment was a little too sarcastic, mean, and antagonistic so for that I'll apologize.
And like I said earlier, you can have your opinion on whether or not you think this was an editor's mistake or not. It was simply your reasoning I thought seemed silly.
I would just respect it more if you said "Him slipping just doesn't look good. It looks... ugly. They should have done another take."
But instead you feel obligated to die on this hill you created in your original post about how he shouldn't slip because his super natural power.

This movie is strictly for the kids who grew up with mortal kombat. In our eyes it was like magic on the screen and the memories will live on forever! Along with the music of course!

You know what? You're so right. No amount of ridicule, belittlement or scorn can ever take away the magic we felt. And interestingly, next to the current games level of hyper-ultra-violence these films now look as family friendly as The King and I.
Free Agent For Life
For real I watched this movie along with the first mortal kombat almost daily for weeks. I couldn’t get enough of it as a kid.

I remember seeing this in 1997 as a 7 year old boy obsessed with Mortal Kombat. It seemed like such an awesome movie. 🤣🤣🤣
