In 2010 they broke up and formed the band Faith in Grace, but that band has since dissolved and About A Plane Crash is back! They are currently writing new material and a music video which will be released in the coming months.

There was an important detail to mention about the actions of Richard Russell, the Ground Service Agent at Seattle-Tacoma Airport who crashed a small passenger plane after stealing it. He’d been thinking about it for a while….he was suffering from severe depression & suicidal ideation. He’d never flown a plane before, so even he was shocked that he able to take off & maintain the flight. He never planned on landing that plane, it was always going to end with a crash. That was the point. He was committing suicide.

My stepson was the co-pilot on an ASA turbo jet that crashed in a field in rural Georgia in 1994. One of the planes blades snapped off and they crashed in a field. My stepson survived with third degree burns ,but the pilot was sadly killed., along with a few unlucky passengers. The last words on the voice recorder were my stepson’s to his wife “ Amy, I love you”

All you gotta do is on Youtube go to, Airplane crash investigation. and you can watch all those episodes in full each is an hour. It gives you a little history of the pilots, some passengers and it shows the crash. The second half-hour is the NTSB investigating the crash. And they don't hold back the blame. some of these pilots get arrested. These short ones are good but they leave you with questions and sometimes pissed. I have learned a lot from that other show. It shows you how Boeing hires heap labor that kills, unqualified pilots, and ground crews incompetency. check it out, its free and do not ask you to donate or subscribe. Enjoy..

RIP Richard "Sky King" Russell. The ATC recording of that incident is heartbreaking. Yes, he is guilty of hijacking an unoccupied commercial aircraft, but his intentions were never to harm anyone other than himself. The eerie thing for me is that shortly before this happened, I flew on that exact plane. And that isn't the only plane I've been on that crashed afterwards. Three of the planes I've been on have crashed later on. I'm bad luck, I think.

Actually it was Captain Dubois who came back into the cockpit from a very short rest break. It was co pilot Bonin who kept his sidestick nose up causing the plane to continue in a stall. Because his sidestick had priority the other pilot in the captain's seat, his sidestick had very little impact

He was even apologizing for causing trouble and kept making sure only he would be killed. He doesn’t specifically say he is committing suicide but in certain areas of the recording he says “well I hadn’t thought about landing it.” And “it’s about that time to put her down and say good night.”

Air France 447 was not in any kind of emergency landing - they were in a stall not knowing they were plummeting out of the sky at about 12000+ ft/min. An atrocity of negligence - and the captain finally figured it out just before they hit the Atlantic. It took 2 years and finally the Titanic team to find the wreckage.

Richard Russell AKA the Sky King pulled off the back flip. The “Nose Down” comment was his way of saying he was going to crash the plane to commit suicide. He aimed it at an uninhabited island on purpose not to hurt anyone. He had also apologized for everyone having to come out and have a bad day because of him, for stealing the plane, and for going to hurt his loved ones. He said he didn’t belong anywhere and didn’t want to go on. His only experience was from flight simulators he played and from questions he asked pilots about things in the cockpit. His level of skill flying was that of multiple decade stunt pilots. He managed to easily pull off stunts that would have given those pilots a really hard time to do and would have given them second thoughts to try to pull off. Sad to see someone with that kind of talent to must give up their life like that. Who knows what could have happened for him (other than jail time) if he had landed and got the mental help he needed. Might have started to regret it right at the crash. Many suicide attempters say they change their mind after the point of no return but are lucky when they don’t die. Except for a few who get more depressed and try again.

Im sorry for all the loss of life in the actual events. I've played a lot of flight sim games and I'm pretty sure with that with radio help, I could land a plane In a situation where the plane is flying normally, like if the pilots were incapacitated and nothing was wrong with the plane.

This film reminded me of the catastrophe in the Kabacki forest in 1987 in Poland, when I was 7 years old. Then it wasn't a man's fault but the Soviet junk and the crew did max what they could. Their last calm words, no profanity, no regrets, when they knew it was over, still make me cry.

hello, I'm from poland and I live near kabacki forest. I go there almost every weekend and i wanna say that we still remember this plain crash. Every time we go there with my school we always go to the tragedy place and pray for those people. BS! It had nothing to do with MCAS and everything to do with their maintenance. You can’t put a NG AOA vane into a MAX. Two different aircraft. Regardless, wasting your time looking at a logbook is asinine. Disconnect the autopilot and hand fly the aircraft and certainly pull the thrust levers back. They killed themselves because they couldn’t fly. Lion Air has never been a reputable maintenance airline either. 61 total hull losses in 30 years if service. Don’t believe the hype.

Flight 2605 last words are the most haunting I've ever heard and they're not even on here. The captain Charlie yelling "Oh Jesus Christ!" and then screaming in terror while the co-pilot shouts "get it up Charlie! Get it up Charlie!!" as the plane roars at take off speed toward the airport hanger and certain doom after hitting a truck on the runway just after it got airborne. Did you ever hear last words of other crashes.. it's heart breaking, compared to any of these. These are so sad anyway. One of the most breaking things to listen to is when the black boxes are found amidst deep water, debris, and even worse things. And then to listen to the last few minutes of what happened in the cockpit. Very sad indeed.

The Alaska Air pilot 261 was not saying there we go he actually was saying here we go as a final encouragement to his co-pilot. They simply kept trying to fix the problem themselves when they needed to actually land and as soon as possible. They knew they had a problem right after takeoff which is the time they should have got it on the ground as quick as they could.

Don’t mean to play armchair quarterback, they were diverting to LAX, they should’ve tried for San Diego. It looked liked it was closer, I don’t know if it would’ve made a difference.

@2:53 "An instrumentation error" NO. The airline changed the programmed flight plan from McMurdo Sound to instead fly directly over Mt. Erebus, the second highest volcano in Antarctica. Nobody told the crew. They were flying low since it was a sightseeing flight they wanted to be under the clouds where the passengers could see something. However they were in a white out snow storm. At 6000 feet they thought they were over McMurdo Sound, a flat area. Instead they were headed straight toward Mt. Erebus.

#7 at 3:50 is actually a photo of PSA flight 182 over San Diego, Sept 25, 1978. and my favorite last words. “ Love you Mom”. I was heading to college when I saw the smoke. My Brother saw the whole thing, including the small plane that was hit fall to the ground. His childhood friends older brother’s best man at his wedding was on the flight. FYI.

About the new Zealand flight that crashed into mount erbus it wasn't an instrumentation error, the management has decided to change the flight path to make the flight more enjoyable but instead they actually programmed the plane to fly directly into the middle of the mountain, that was originally covered up as instrumentation error.

I don’t about anybody else but this makes me feel so sad. and scared “S”less. I remember that Captain Van Zandt was in a hurry in the Tenerife crash that killed what —— over 500 people. There is nothing like the feeling of having no control when in an airplane that you think is going down.

RE: Alaska Airlines Flight 261, I believe the pilot's actual words were "Ah...here we go" as they were nose-diving uncontrollably towards the sea. Very different connotation from "Ah..there we go" as if something had been corrected.

Have one pilot, in the Brazil, who fighted a lot for save the plane, but he was not able. So, his last words was: "Ladies and gentlemen, it is the commander who speaks to you. We will have a disorientation panel for two search engines. We are like there is no fuel at the end, just about 15 minutes. Captain Victor Grubbs of the Pan Am Clipper Victor didn't actually die after his colourful outburst. The pilot of the KLM Rine, Captain Jacob Van Zanten, did. Wonder what his last words were?

Not true. There was a worn out screw/ collar assembly in the elevator. Middle management forced the mechanic to invert and reuse collars that should have been replaced. It was slipping and jamming to a degree. Instead of flying as gentle as possible, the pilot tried aggressively jamming the controls from one end of their range to the other. He thought he had somehow loosened the tension, but in fact had literally stripped the assembly so there was nothing left to catch. After that the plane began rising and falling in slow arcs uncontrolledly as the elevator flapped in the airstream. At one point it deflected so far down the plane entered a near vertical die into the ocean. The pilot killed everybody on board. This is literally a textbook example taught to A & P mechanics during their course of study.

I believe it was the screwjack that keeps the tail stablized. It was stripped and the plane inverted. They went down upside down.

Seeing this was so interesting for me. I live in Alaska, and I feel our state is often forgotten. About everything. It’s kind of hard to explain but you don’t really see Alaska pop up in YouTube videos or TikToks. I used to fly Alaska Airlines. The only airline my family flew. We now fly Delta. We had to by accident one and decided we liked it better. That doesn’t really matter just wanted to say that. Anyway, I’m watching plane documentaries, and scrolling through the videos under the video I see my State. That shocked me. Then Alaska Airlines. This was crazy for me that we finally get brought up. I’m sorry, I suck at explaining this. I guess you would have to live in Alaska to understand....

Here is what happened on pan am and KLM, so after refuelling the fog was so strong they barely could see a thing. Pan am couldnt go onto Charlie 3 since the turn was impossible for their perspective. So instead headed to Charlie 4, the KLM not knowing a plane was there, took off using a lot of fuel, and couldnt get off the ground due to its tail hitting the runway, they were close to lifting before pan am got struck, I believe people survived pan am, and 1 person survived KLM, since they decided to stay at a airport. The original airport was actually invaded by a terrorist, and caused chain of events happened and for all the flights moved to the small airport. And Its known as the worlds largest plane crash.

Also, Alaska 261 did a inverted motion for about 81 seconds and crashed into the pacific ocean, which is why it got stabilized.

The saddest & spookiest is the one where the pilot’s yelling that the sunnuvab*tch is coming right at him. If you watch the whole documentary on Wonser channel, you’ll understand what I mean. The pilot shouting is not at fault but the other never waits for ac clearance and goes blazing down the runway to hit the other plane. That poor scared pilot who sees what’s coming is powerless to the tragic situation.
