I disregarded the ending of the show (along with the last season), so I still consider the future an open book. I no longer consider myself a member of "the fandom" because of fundamental disagreements, but I am just as much of a fan as I've always been. Nothing is going to change for me going forward. And I am still active in a specific subset of the fandom.

I love how the lyrics are really personal and heartfelt, despite Rainbow Dash not really being known for that kind of stuff. This song isn't about the Rainbow Dash that's projected out into the world, it's about the Rainbow Dash within.

I can't believe it's been over 10 years. I remember listening to this for the Nth time in early 2013, writing fanfiction, going to my first pony convention, and thinking: "Man, this is going to be my Year Of Pony." Now it's been over a decade of pony, and I'm still coming back here for that hit of feels.

I actually really love the lyrics of this song. "I could save my lonely soul for you, but the feeling in my heart can't follow through" in particular hits home for me. Not to mention the way it paints Rainbow Dash's character perfectly, with added dimensions that people often miss.
