Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
in your mind there is love being drawn even if we're too far,
so far away love is you
hoping that this longing can fly with the wind reach you and will tell how i feel woooh...
love is the moment the moment you came into my life you filled my whole life you filled my whole heart all i think is you
woooh...
love is the moment the day that you left,
i won't forget lingers in my mind no
if i can't wrap my arms around you love is you hoping that this longing
is just like the sun touch and let you know how i feel love is the moment the moment you came into my life
you filled my
whole life you filled my whole heart all i think is you
woooh...
love is the moment the day that you left,
i won't forget lingers in my mind no
i won't forget
love is the moment the moment that i let you go my heart is broken my time is frozen all i feel is pain
ohhhh
love is the moment the moment
i turned my back on you my love has faded i can still feel the pain in your eyes, in your mind there is love.
The lyrics of "This Is The Moment" by Acoustix speak of love that is being drawn and felt even if the two people in love are far away from each other. The singer hopes that their love can reach their significant other through the wind and express how they feel. The chorus states that love is a moment, one that they experienced when their significant other came into their life and filled their whole heart. However, the moment also includes the day that their love left and left a mark in their mind that they cannot forget. Despite the distance and the pain, the love remains and can be felt even without physical touch.
The lyrics are powerful in portraying the complexities of love - the joy that it can bring and the pain that comes with it. The singer's longing for their significant other is palpable and relatable. The theme of distance and longing is especially relevant in today's world, where many people are unable to physically be with their loved ones due to the pandemic.
The song's message is enhanced by the soulful melody and the harmonious vocals of Acoustix. The use of woohoo and ohh in the song adds a layer of emotion to the lyrics. This song, this tag and this group is what got me into barbershop, harmony singing and all Acapella music in general. Heard them way back in the early 2000s from a cd I checked out from the library lol. Great times.
Thanks for posting.
@StoryVision889
Hallelujah. It is a great harmony.

Just like LonelyOutlaw, this was the song that hooked me on barbershop. To this day, I don’t think any of the champions have matched Acoustix’ blend, balance, and dynamics. I’ll forever put them up against anyone.
