On their own, Green and Shapiro have long been notable figures among indie-pop fans, cherished for their off-kilter sensibility (him) and elegantly quirky style (her). As part of New York City’s “anti-folk” scene at the end of the nineties, Adam Green first came to prominence as one-half of Moldy Peaches, his duo with Kimya Dawson that enjoyed belated mainstream success via the Grammy-winning soundtrack of the 2007 indie film Juno.
Don't Ask For More
Adam Green & Binki Shapiro Lyrics

I said I’d stay
Be with me now
Let’s see who we are Saturday
But don’t ask for more
Don’t ask for more
Pretending to be bad
You wanna hear the pledge
That’s when I turn to you and say
Can’t seem to drag you away from yourself
At any moment we may come undone
Even the world began
'Cause someone pushed the other one
Don’t ask for more
Don’t ask for more
You only hear what I say
When I say, "What you want?"
Put your claws away
I think I’ve had enough today
Can’t seem to drag you away from yourself
At any moment we may come undone
Even the world began
'Cause someone pushed the other one
The lyrics of Adam Green & Binki Shapiro's song Don't Ask For More reveal a complicated relationship between two people. The singer is telling their partner not to ask for more in terms of commitment or promises. The singer wants to live in the present moment and see where their relationship goes on Saturday but doesn't want to make any promises for the future. The line "Can't seem to drag you away from yourself" implies that the partner is self-absorbed and possibly not fully invested in the relationship.
The chorus repeats the line "Don't ask for more" which emphasizes the singer's reluctance to commit or promise anything beyond the present moment. The third verse suggests that the partner may be pushing the singer to be someone they're not, to pretend to be "bad" for example. The line "Even the world began 'cause someone pushed the other one" could be interpreted to mean that the partner is pressuring the singer to take action or make decisions that could potentially have huge consequences.
Overall, the lyrics of Don't Ask For More suggest a relationship where one person is reluctant to commit or promise anything beyond the present moment while the other is pushing for more.

I saw Adam and Binki live in Seattle.
After the show I talked to them both and Binki gave me a kiss on the cheek. I think I almost died in that moment.

I'm a Huge Adam Green Fan. It really did all start for me when I heard Kimya Dawson's The Beer back in Highshool. But if you listen to BInki and how she sings it's literally the Female Version of Adam Green. She hits the same tones and has a beautiful voice. They make amazing music together. "Just to make you feel good" blew my mind.
I wonder if they are together or dating or something. Because sadly if they ever broke up their "Heartbroken Breakup" Ablums would be freaking Gold.
