Since the release of their EP, Adler's Appetite have gone through numerous lineup changes, with Steven Adler being the only remaining member from the original lineup, eventually going on hiatus in 2006 before reforming in 2007. As of 2009, Adler's Appetite consists of singer Rick Stitch (Ladyjack), guitarists Alex Grossi (Angry Salad, Beautiful Creatures, Quiet Riot), Michael Thomas (Tuff, Beautiful Creatures, ASHBA) and bassist Chip Z'nuff (Enuff Z'nuff) along with Adler. The band released 2 new singles on Itunes in late December 2010, Stardog and Fading. When Quiet Riot reformed the same year, Grossi departed Adler's Appetite in 2011, with Ladyjack guitarist Robo filling in for a European tour. However, following the tour, both Stitch and Robo departed the band, replaced by Aces 'N' Eights singer Patrick Stone as well as guitarist Lonnie Paul.
Draw the Line
Adler's Appetite Lyrics

No dice honey, I'm livin' on the astral plane
Feet's on the ground, and your head's goin' down the drain
Oh, heads I win, tails you lose, to the never mind
Where to draw the line
An Indian summer, Carrie was all over the floor
She was a wet net winner, and rarely ever left the store
me
Oh, pass me the vile and cross your fingers, it won't take time
Nowhere to draw the line
Hi ho silver, we were singin' all your cowboy songs
You told Carrie, and promised her you wouldn't be long
Heads I win, tails you lose, lord it's such a crime
No dice honey, you the salt, you're the queen of the brine
Checkmate honey, you're the only one who's got to choose
Where to draw the line
Checkmate
Don't be late
Take another pull
That's right
Impossible
When you got to be yourself
You're the boss
The toss
The dice
The price
Grab yourself a slice
Nowhere to draw the line

The opening lyrics of Adler's Appetite's song "Draw the Line" set the stage for a relationship based on gamesmanship. The singer declares "Checkmate, honey, beat you at your own damn game" and "No dice, honey, I'm livin' on the astral plane." The tone is cocky and confrontational, implying that the relationship is a battle and the singer always comes out on top. The second verse introduces a woman named Carrie, who is a "wet net winner," someone who always gets what she wants. The singer describes her as singing and dancing all night and "wronging all the right" out of him. The chorus repeats the line "Where to draw the line," suggesting that the characters in the song are constantly pushing boundaries and testing each other.
The third verse brings in a Western theme, with references to cowboy songs and a man who promises he won't be gone for long. The tone shifts slightly here, with the singer seeming to lament the situation when he says "Heads I win, tails you lose, lord it's such a crime." The final chorus brings everything full circle, ending with "Nowhere to draw the line." The implication is that the relationship is a cycle of winning and losing, with no clear resolution.
Some possible interpretations of the lyrics might include a toxic relationship based on power and control, or a warning about the dangers of getting caught up in games and losing sight of what really matters. The reference to the astral plane could suggest a desire to escape from reality, or a belief in alternative states of consciousness.
