Sometimes I feel that I was born at the wrong time
At times, I have the belief that my birth was untimely

People seemed more civil in the old days
One could observe that humans conducted themselves more politely in the past

We were conversant with the concept of stretching resources to their maximum extent

And we sang with our families at night
In the evenings, we had a charming family time singing together

Every generation thinks the one before
Every new era believes that its preceding period

Had it a little better than they do
Had a slightly more comfortable existence than their own

But if I've been born at the wrong time
However, imagining that I was born in a different era

If I had been born a few decades earlier, I could have been at Woodstock in the 1960s

But if I'd been around at the wrong time
However, I contemplate that if I had been born later or earlier
