Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing
Ana Guerra & Lola Indigo Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Everybody's got a thing
But some don't know how to handle it
Always reaching out in vain
Just taking the things not worth having

Don't you worry 'bout a thing
Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama
'Cause I'll be standing on the side
When you take it, ah ah ah ah ah

They say your style of life's a drag
And that you must go other places
Just don't you feel too bad
When you get fooled by smiling faces

Don't you worry 'bout a thing
Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama
'Cause I'll be standing on the side
When you take it, ah ah ah ah ah
When you get it o-o-o-o-of your trip
Don't you worry 'bout a thing c'mon Mimi

Everybody needs a change
A chance to check out the new
But you're the only one to see
The changes you take yourself through

Don't you worry 'bout a thing
(Don't you worry 'bout a thing)
Don't you worry 'bout a thing, mama
'Cause I'll be standing on the side
'Cause I'll be standing on the side
When you check it, ah ah ah ah ah
Don't you worry 'bout a thing, oh no

Don't you worry 'bout a thing, na na na
Oh oh don't you worry 'bout a thing

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Ana Guerra and Lola Indigo's song "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing" convey messages of encouragement and support to someone who is going through a tough time or facing criticism from others. It begins by acknowledging that everyone has their own struggles and insecurities, but not everyone knows how to handle them. Some people constantly seek validation and chase after things that are not truly valuable or meaningful. The song reminds the listener not to worry about those things, as they will be there for them, standing by their side as they navigate through life.

The lyrics also address the societal pressure to conform to certain expectations. The phrase "They say your style of life's a drag" implies that the person in question is being judged for their choices and lifestyle. However, the song advises them not to feel too bad about being deceived by false appearances or fake smiles. It encourages them to stay true to themselves and not let others' opinions bring them down.

The chorus repeats the phrase "Don't you worry 'bout a thing" as a reassuring mantra, emphasizing that the listener should not let external judgment or societal expectations consume them. The lyrics convey the message that everyone needs a change and a chance to explore new things, but ultimately the only one who can truly understand and appreciate the changes they go through is themselves.

Overall, "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing" is a song about self-acceptance, resilience, and not allowing others' criticisms or societal pressures to define one's worth or happiness.

Muy injusta la canción para la primera Gala y demasiado bien la hicieron. Me encanta la confianza que tienen entre las dos. Se nota la conexión y la magia que crean.

@RosaSanchez-yi9il

Warmi is real🤣

@begonapinilla1716

@mariaespana7988

Mimi tiene mucha presencia escénica, la más diva de las chicas, me encanta.
