After a few months they met Dominik Zoric, a young producer who would record and produce the song "Factories". The song was recorded in Bruno's living room with cheap recording equipment, but the recording left Bruno and Filip enthusiastic about their music and made Zoric the spark that spurred them on.
In December of 2010 they once again began searching for the rhytm section. Bruno spoke to his highschool friend Ivan Mioc about the idea of him playing the bass in the band. After listening to some early home recordings Mioc, who was a very experienced bass player, decided to join the band. Drummer Goran Bukovic, a long time acquaintance of Bruno, offered to play the drumms. At first, the rehearsals were held at the same place Bruno and Filip a year ago began searching for band members and held, for them, discouraging sessions. This time the band began to form their sound around strong and precise rhytm section. After a few weeks the band began rehearsing in a cargo container in Prečko, a projects neighbourhood where Bruno and Filip grew up.
In the meantime the band agrees on the name "And The Kid" which simbolizes the age difference between Filip and other band members who are few years older. On 31st of March 2011 the band plays their first ever concert in "Sax!", Zagreb and picks up positive comentaries. The band agrees that Dominik Zoric should produce their debut album that should be recorded by the mid 2012.

The lyrics to "I'm Not Like You" by And The Kid explore the theme of identity and conformity. The first stanza of the song challenges the values and actions of the singer's family by listing some of the things they have said or done that may be harmful to a child's well-being: "Water, Babies, Money, Cigarettes". The two lines that follow, "Poison the child, Keep the child safe" seem to suggest that the singer sees a contradiction in their attitude towards raising a child. They are willing to do whatever it takes to protect their child, even if that means resorting to toxic or harmful solutions.
The chorus of the song, "I'm not like you", repeats four times to emphasize the singer's desire to distance themselves from their family's values and behavior. The last two stanzas introduce the idea of the singer having a child of their own one day, and their resolution to raise them differently: as a "special boy" who can "walk and bite his nails" and "do everything he can". The final lines of the song ask the listener if the singer's self-image is aligned with reality: "So, is this really your mind, Is this really who you are".
Overall, "I'm Not Like You" is a song that explores the tension between individual identity and social conformity, and the desire to break free from harmful patterns of behavior that are often passed on from one generation to another.

Crush a bit, little bit
Roll it up, take a hit
Feeling lit, feeling right
Two AM, summer night, I don't care
Hand on the wheel
Driving drunk I'm doing my thang
Rolling the Midwest side and out
Living my life, getting our dreams
People told me slow my roll
I'm screaming out, "Fuck that"
I'ma do just what I want
Looking ahead no turning back
If I fall if I die
Know I lived it to the fullest
If I fall if I die
Know I lived and missed some bullets
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
Tell me what you know about dreamin', dreamin'
You don't really know about nothin', nothin'
Tell me what you know about them night terrors every night
Five AM cold sweats, waking up to the sky
Tell me what you know about dreams, dreams
Tell me what you know about night terrors, nothin'
You don't really care about the trials of tomorrow
Rather lay awake in the bed full of sorrow
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness
I know everything that shine ain't always gold
I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
Pursuit of happiness
Yeah, I'm gon' get it, I'll be, good
Ugh
Oh man
Oh alright, oh
Room's spinning, room's spinning
Pat, Zuli, wait, oh fuck
Oh my God
Why did I drink so much and smoke so much? Ugh
Oh fuck

I’m glad people can find comfort and like inspiration or relation to them chasing their dreams through this song but the way it comforts me is totally different in a sad kinship kind of way.
“You don’t really care about the trials of tomorrow, rather lay awake in a bed full of sorrow” resonates with so many nights in my life. I often just lay awake till the early hours of the morning heavy with the enormity and burdens of the world and my life on my mind.
I listen to this song when I feel hopeless because I feel like it captures giving up and falling into a deep depression or addiction or both and many other inner struggles so poignantly. Being trapped in your head and your suffering and feeling so distant from the world.
It’s comforting because it makes me feel less alone I guess. Like the awful feelings I am sitting with can be put into words.
Just felt the need to put it out there. Art can be interpreted in many different ways and has different meaning to everyone.
For me this song just resonates and perfectly encompasses hopelessness and dragging yourself day to day because you have to.
