For your curiosity, most Koreans including myself know the film is an adaptation of the famous webtoon.

The following is part of a Korean article..
"Originally based on Naver webtoon 'Dead Days' on June 24, the movie 'Alive' has been released..."

I personally loved the unique film. It was almost like a creative inde art house film but never boring.
It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Better to see it on the big cinema screen though (At least connect Netflix to tv!)

The ending had to be a happy one unlike Train to Busan, to give hope to us who are struggling with Corona.
Let's hope we'll also see the end of this nightmare and light of hope.
Timing of the film is appropriate!

It's such an annoying trend. It's like, the only way for these movies to surprise you is if you go into them completely blind.

And that's super annoying to me also. I just want to be able to watch a couple minutes to get a feel for the movie before investing hours of my time without spoiling the entire movie in the span of like 3 minutes.

This movie really surprised me! I didn't expect it to be so good. One thing that called my attention is the final message: stay strong, don't give up, survive. I interpret this as a message regarding suicide prevention, since the characters considered suiciding some times during the movie, but in the end they didn't give up and survived, even with all the bad circumstances. Cool movie, cool acting, cool story and cool message!

Just watched it and it's incredibly good. I like how it gave me a whole view to zombie apocalypse where in most if not all, were focused on the action and getting it out there by killing zombies. It has the more realistic side of survival which is really nice to see

Just watched it today on Netflix. It didn't stun me with its plot but was still really enjoyable. The zombies were pretty scary as well with their random jumpscares and their makeups were on point, and I like the entire format of the film. Highly recommended :)

I’m a huge horror fan and love zombie films. Even the cheesy ones. This film is great. I loved it all the way through. I really like the way they made the zombies look. They truly look horrifying lol I recommend watching in Korean (original) with the subtitles on for the true experience. Don’t worry, there’s not dialogue where you reading the whole time. This film is so cool, definitely gonna watch it again 🧟‍♂️

this movie literally made me lose my appetite, which is good cause these type of movies are meant to make you feel something (disgusted, scared, sad etc... idk, up to you.) , I personally don't feel anything when I watch other zombie apocalypse themed movies because some are so cliche but this movie? And it had no gigaachads, but average people just trying to survive in a shitty situation. Wrong place, wrong timing - and you're in a zombie-infested apartment complex, being claustrophobic in your own apartment now. Not some fearless american-style zombie movie character, with endless ammo and thickest plot armour in the world having no problems in surviving through the deadly zombie epidemic

A fantastic film that goes back and forth between emotional scenes and all-out zombie attacks. First-rate cinematography with new tech innovations used to help ensure survival. Keeps you right on edge throughout the whole film with some touching scenes, (moments) that have not been seen in past apocalyptic films.

Está película Alive en mi opinión estuvo buenísima, muy entretenida y me saco algunos sustos, aunque no tenga nada que ver con el universo de Train to Busan, estuvo muchísimo mejor que Peninsula, sería genial que sacarán una continuación, la interpretación de los zombies es excelente, muy parecidos a la de Train to Busan. No joke it was a actually a good movie! I would give it a 8 maybe even a 9 out of 10. The scenes were good. The zeds were smart enough to were they actually were a danger. The events that went down were also really good and stressing. This is one of those better horror zombie movies that I actually would pay money to see. Nice. I also believe it just shows that the movie zombie type is still a really good movie type. But it needs to be done right and with a lot of work on the story and zombies.

Best Zombie movie I've watched in a while. It's rare a horror movie makes me laugh, cry, and still manages to keep me on the edge of my seat. This one was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting a cheesy B rated movie but kudos to the actors and the voice over people. After about 10 mins into the movie I stopped noticing the voice dubbing and was hooked.

I just watched this movie last night i can't imagine how i survived when i was in that situation, stucked in a room where there is no foods and water. I will go insane. I love the ending and how they were saved. Movue be like 😊😊.
Moral of the story: Never lose hope and catch all chance to get alive. At the end of the day there will always be a saver.

@Jbird let's face it dude realistically the helicopter wouldn't have saved them and they were dead. Would have been nice if they took a different route for example at the end when in the helicopter at the end have flashbacks from through the film show the normal scene and then another scene of it happening differently because they were infected. Let's say that survival guy with his wife weren't infected and in fact it was the girl that killed the man not his wife. And have the final scene of the helicopter going down because they got inside and killed the crew ( ik they had guns but it's just an idea. Its gonna have flaws)also it would have made it relatively unique because I'm not sure if there is a zombie film with a twist like that

This type of movies really amazes me how creative and talented the korean and japanese directors are in making a really good movie with such limited resources and budget..The drama would attract you more than the horror for this one..something you dont expect much in zombie films when there is alot of actions involved...

I just finished watching it. I didn’t put too much high expectation to it based on the trailer but! But..... I enjoyed it and definitely worth of my time 😂 In fact it felt too short for me. I wanted to see more especially the ending. It’s funny because I was preparing my emergency kit before I watched it 🤣 Movies like this made me wanna stock up more food! Dried foods and a lot of survival kits Hahaahha I don’t care about zombies but I’m more concern about what’s gonna happen in America before the election and I mean look at where we are at. The virus is still around and who knows what else that’s on the way 😖 so stock up stock up and tools for defense lol

Finished watching this movie one hour ago and I must say that it is a mixture of great, emotionally roller coaster ride and action packed zombie movie. Just. Awesome. This movie is close to being as good as train to busan.

All I have to say is THIS MOVIE RIGHT HERE!!! Dammit, I got my Zombie fix watching this. Let me tell you. These walkers are freaken scary as hell. Please come out with Alive part 2. I will continue watching. This scared the shit out of me. Asia, I give you all thumbs up and 5 stars for creating such an amazing movie. Had me jumping everytime and holding my breath lol. I LOVED IT!

@YVES from LOONA exactly that was one of my pet peeves in the movie, like how was that's possible.. The mainn2 characters including the random dude who tried to feed the girl to his wife even knew to hush them... Like that logic just flew out the window.. But movie got to movie I guess 😭😭

@YVES from LOONA maybe they started evolving. I remember in the beginning of the show they said they didn’t really know what to expect with those zombies. They were quite strong though I’m not sure if many people would bounce back from this... 🥲

Just watched the movie on Netflix and let me just say it was very enjoyable and satisfied all my cravings. Tbh it was very predictable and quite generic, but im a sucker for these type of zombie movies. Reccomend this to anyone craving a zombie movie, its a great 1 time watch 👍
