Aparo began playing in a group called Angie's Hope in the early 1990s before making the decision to go solo. After making that decision, Aparo made the decision to go out on the road touring with his acoustic guitar in the Southeast. In 1996, he released his first CD Out of the Everywhere, recorded at David Briggs studio in Nashville Tennessee with Jim Stabile as engineer. Burnard Tate played drums.
In 1999, with Grammy-winning producer Matt Serletic, Aparo released The American. His single "Spaceship" hit the radio waves in 2000, and The American also includes his original version of the single "Cry", made popular by Faith Hill and featured on her album of the same name. Many songs from The American are also on a new live CD 9live that was released in 2004.
While stuck in musical limbo due to record label issues, Aparo released Weapon of Mass Construction (2001) (Re-released under the title One With the Sun): a CD of cover songs taken from varying artists from The Beastie Boys to Neil Young and Elton John, as well as two previously unreleased originals. In his own words, "It was fun, and I got it out of my system." [1]
In 2003, another album -For Stars and Moon, a Beatles-influenced showcase - was released independently. This took Aparo's music in a different direction.
Most recently, Aparo has put together The Infidels, and is touring the southeast while recording a new album with producer Dann Huff. The music again is in a different direction than his previous recordings.

You woke up late for school, man you don't wanna go
You ask your mom please but she still says no
You missed two classes with no homework
Your teacher preaches class like you're some kind of jerk, yeah
So we gotta fight for the right to party, yeah dig it
Over here, yeah, ow, ow, ow
Bring it down, bring it down, yeah, come on, dig it
We gotta special guest here tonight, one time only
Bling Bling is in the house
Well, your mom caught you smokin', man you said no way
Man that hypocrite she smokes two packs a day
Well, livin' at home is such a drag
My old lady threw away my best porno mag, busted
You gotta fight for the right to party, wooh, party
Yeah, now we gotta party, ow, hey, hey, hey, party
Yeah, let's go
Yeah, yeah, hey, hey, yeah, wooh
Yeah, just like that, what I'm talkin' about, busted
Angie Aparo’s song, “Fight for Your Right to Party,” is a rebellious and catchy tune that encourages listeners to stand up for their right to have fun and live life to the fullest. The lyrics tell a story of a teenager who is fed up with the restrictions placed upon him by his parents and teachers. He wakes up late for school, misses classes, and struggles with homework, only to have his teacher scold him. He is then caught smoking by his mother, who herself is a smoker, and has his favorite magazine confiscated by his father.
The chorus of the song is a call to action, encouraging listeners to fight for their right to party, which speaks to the desire for young people to have fun and enjoy themselves, despite the strict rules and conventions of society. The song also addresses the hypocrisy of authority figures, who often impose strict rules on young people but fail to follow them themselves. The verses of the song are filled with humor and wit, making a serious message more palatable and easily digestible.
“Fight for Your Right to Party” is a classic song that has endured through the years and remains a popular anthem for those who refuse to conform to social norms. The song’s catchy beat and memorable lyrics have helped it become a mainstay of popular culture, earning it a place in the pantheon of great rock songs.
