Anybody realize that the lyrics to this song explain the entire movie?

The entire 1st verse = Effie's problems with Curtis, how he put her in the background, cheated on her, broke her heart
"Move Right Out Of My Life" = everyone's feelings towards Curtis in the end because he was so controlling
"The way you lead me around" = Curtis controlled everyone here and told all of them that they have to do anything he says
"...Titanic ...Going Down" = Effie's career basically went down like the titanic after he kicked her out the group
"Stepping On My Style" = Curtis basically forced Jimmy to change his style to appeal to white people and the pop charts and took away all his soul
"I wanna breathe for a while" = Curtis was basically down Deena's throat about the music she made and the movie she was in and she wanted to do something on her own (the other movie)

+Mitchell Steven the musical tried to distance themselves from the actual story lest they be sued, but the movie actually was more blatant. The movie reset the story in Detroit (in the stage version they were from Chicago) with the Curtis character being a car salesman (just like Gordy) and the Dreams' album covers were carbon copies of the actual Supremes'. Also, the movie has a Jackson 5 type group, which is not in the original musical. In fact, the movie hit so close to home that the real Berry Gordy threatened to sue. Diana Ross was asked about the movie, and all she said was that her friends told her that her image and story were heavily borrowed, then she joked that she would need to talk to her lawyers. Mary Wilson said that the movie is closer to the truth than people know.

Jennifer Hudson has an amazing voice! Shes my favorite effie! I mean ive watched the broadway versions and not even frenchie davies can measure up to this. She really realy really have a powerful voice, fits effies character just perfectly. I mean frenchie davies is good too, but her voice is really soft - still a diva on her own pedestal. Amazing!

Beyonce didn't feel any type of way being in the background because of the role she played in this film, once Broadway stage play. Eventually her character (Deena Jones) is featured, and the roles are reversed. This is a movie folks, not Beyonce's biography. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because they love to project their weird narratives onto her like why would she take being in the background personally it’s a movie. And of course they bring her down to prop up any black woman she comes in contact with up that’s the only way they know how to compliment. Bey Anika and Jennifer did a great job in this movie and the oscar was well deserved.
