Isn't he wonderful?
So tall and smiley and colorful
Built to spread happiness
What a handful, yet so magical
Innovation is key
To create good friends like you and me
Let's roam around this facility
What do you see?

Experiments by monsters
Look what it cost her
Manufactured souls that kill for fun
Making you run

Welcome home
You're not alone
Give me a hug and your flesh and blood
Tell me, do you feel so loved?
Secrets to hide
More than just toys inside
Take a deep breath, I'll squeeze you to death
But she needs the last one left

Isn't he wonderful?
So tall and creepy and colorful
Built to kill
What a hand- yet so magical
Playtime is all you need
Missing incidents are guaranteed
Take a step up and let us proceed
Watch us all bleed

Experiments by monsters
Look what it cost her
Manufactured souls that kill for fun
Making you run

Welcome home
You're not alone
Give me a hug and your flesh and blood
Tell me, do you feel so loved?
Secrets to hide
More than just toys inside
Take a deep breath, I'll squeeze you to death
But she needs the last one left

You are so kind to stay
Open her case so that she can play
Poppy won't stay away, away

Welcome home
You're not alone
Give me a hug and your flesh and blood
Tell me, do you feel so loved?
Secrets to hide
More than just toys inside

Take a deep breath, I'll squeeze you to death
But she needs the last one left

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of ApAngryPiggy’s song “Welcome Home” appear to describe a facility where experiments are conducted on monsters and their manufactured souls. The singer addresses one of these monsters who is described as “so tall and smiley and colorful” at first, but later as “so tall and creepy and colorful”. While the first impression is of a happy and friendly character, it soon becomes clear that this is a façade and that the monster is capable of killing for fun. The lyrics also suggest that the monsters have been designed to befriend and entertain humans, but ultimately their true nature is revealed when they turn on their human companions.

As the song progresses, the singer welcomes the listener “home” and encourages them to embrace their situation, suggesting that they are now part of this world of monsters and experiments. The singer then asks for a “hug and your flesh and blood”, which could be interpreted as a demand for sacrifice or submission to the monstrous beings. The lyrics continue to describe the secrets and hidden dangers of the facility, warning that there is more to the toys than meets the eye. The singer then offers to “squeeze you to death,” which could be seen as a threat or a promise of comfort in the face of danger. The final line of the song suggests that there is a powerful entity named Poppy who is present in this world and who is not to be ignored.

Spoilers for CH3:

There's a part in chapter 3 where you're in a dream and you're listening to a monologue on a TV about how your character's conscience got the better of them, which is why they returned. Until after that they are told "Welcome Home.", before Huggy Wuggy jumps out of the TV screen to kill you.

So... How does it feel that your fan song fits the premise of the game's lore?
