Before their unfortunate demise, Apocalypse Hoboken toured with the likes of The Vandals, The Ataris, Ten Foot Pole, Less Than Jake, Swingin' Utters, Agent Orange, Guttermouth, Strung Out, Bigwig, Suicide Machines, At the Drive In, Murder City Devils, and appeared on West Coast dates of the Warped Tour.
Their last show in 2003 sold out Chicago's Metro, and though they haven't recorded a shred of new music in five years, demand for their live act has never been greater. A reunion at the Abbey Pub with all-original members promises to be a highlight of 2006.

Cup 'O Life
Apocalypse Hoboken Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Start from something new
To make a statement in your life you must
Start from something new
It's all the same a losers game where everybody wins
It's al so lame it's just a shame that your heart ends where it begins
Tell me what to do give me
Something new to believe in
OH... eh eh
The lyrics to Apocalypse Hoboken's song "Cup 'O Life" speak about the need for change in order to make a difference in one's life. The repetition of the phrase "start from something new" serves as a mantra, encouraging the listener to take action and break away from the monotony of a "loser's game" where everyone wins. The lyrics suggest that this game is futile, and that one's heart will ultimately end up back where it began if they don't seek something different.
The second verse asks for guidance, asking for "something new to believe in" and expressing a reluctance to follow the same old path. The final refrain of "OH...eh eh" adds to the repetitive and almost hypnotic quality of the song, driving home the message that change is necessary for growth and fulfillment.
This song can be interpreted as a call to action for individuals who find themselves stuck in a rut or feel stagnant in their lives. It encourages listeners to seek out something new, whether that be a new perspective, a new hobby, or a new environment. By breaking away from patterns and routines, one can find the inspiration they need to make a real change and make a difference in their life.
