1: APOGE… Read Full Bio ↴At least six bands currently operate with the name Apogee.
1: APOGEE is a japanese synthie-pop band found in 2003. It consists of four members:
Nagano Makoto (Vo.& G.)
Mano Wataru (Dr.& Cho.)
Ooshiro Yoshihiko (Syn.& G.)
YUU Hiroshi (Ba.&Cho.)
APOGEEs music is influenced by New Wave/80s sounds with remarkably synthesizer parts. In contrast Makoto’s soft and unique voice and many musical elements make a “new mixture”.
Trademarks are their highly animated music videos, which never fail to surprise.
They debuted in 2006 with their first single 「Yakan Hikou」( Night Flight). In 2007 their first album 「Fantastic」released featuring their singles „Ghost Song” and “Good Bye” such as their debut single.
Additional to their regular singles they recorded covers of popular songs (by BONNIE PINK, Crystal Key, Utada Hikaru and more), which they released as acoustic versions.
In the same year they had great success with their first performance on SUMMER SONIC `07, which attracted overwhelming attention of thousands.
2: A German Progressive Rock band. Arne Schäfer plays all the instruments and sings in a "Hammillian oriented" progressive style. Although the thoughtful lyrics feature in the music, there are very good instrumental textures on the background. This combination makes the music very interesting, although ground-breaking sounds are found here... there's always a component referring to "I have listened to this before somewhere". Its worth to mention that the albums are very well produced in general.
3: a fusion rock band based out of Kent, Ohio. The group recently finished recording their debut release entitled 'Big McLarge Huge.'
4. A short-lived band formed in 1997 by Mr. Dibbs, Yoni Wolf of Why? and Dose One of which exists a few live recordings.
5. a West Philadelphia power trio. Refer to "Apogee (USA) or the Main Street West label page on last.fm.
6. A band in Juneau Alaska also known as P&W (Paul and William). Mostly Progressive Rock originals and covers started in 2008 and create music occasionally and cover songs.

(Everyone Here Is Not To Stay)
(No One Has To Leave)
(Everyone Here Is Not To Stay)
(Everyone Everyone)
(Everyone Here Is Not To Stay)
(No One Has To Leave)
(Everyone Here Is Not To Stay)
(Everyone Everyone)
The lyrics to Apogee's song "Escape" encourage listeners to flee from the constraints that hold them back and to pursue their dreams with urgency. The song speaks to both children and adults, as the chorus alternates between calls to action for both. The opening verse implores children to run as fast as they can towards their desires, while the second verse addresses adults and urges them to face forward and move beyond their limitations towards something greater.
The repeated reference to a world splitting in two, with one side sinking and the other rising, seems to represent the choices that people are faced with in life. The fear of being left behind or moving in circles is expressed through the line "no one has to leave" and the idea that there are no right or wrong answers.
The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and a desire to break free from the mundane routine of life. The repeated call to "escape" suggests a yearning for something different, and the invitation to count and join the others on the other side encourages listeners to make a change and take a chance.
