1) A side project of Daniel Myer, best known for his involvement with the industrial/EBM band Haujobb. A fusion of multiple styles - principally minimal techno, glitch and drum'n'bass, Architect can probably best be described as something like Future Drum’n’Bass. The slow tempo of the tracks and the occasional long vocal sample combined with strong insistent rhythms renders the music suitable for both listening and dancing.
2) Architect is a mathcore band from Syracuse, NY, featuring ex-members of Found Dead Hanging and Word as a Virus. Not to be confused with the UK’s “Architects”, Architect perfect a burly, chunky and politically driven sound in the vein of Eyehategod, Crowbar, Coalesce, Curl Up and Die, His Hero is Gone and Isis. Architect are currently signed to Black Market Activities.
Architect is also the main moniker of Gary Herd, Hip Hop producer and half of the duo Homeliss Derilex.
The Mountain Top
Architect Lyrics

Lonely on the mountain top
Growing
High in the sky above all
Waiting and waiting
Too close to the nest of clouds
Waiting and waiting
Light from above
Dark from below
My roots weave
In-too-deep
What am I doing this high?
I hate them all
Who can fly
The lyrics to Architect's song The Mountain Top seems to convey a sense of loneliness and isolation. The opening lines of the song indicate a person standing alone on a mountain top, which can be seen as a metaphor for being disconnected from society. The person is growing and developing, trying to reach new heights, but still being unable to connect with others. The repeated lines of "waiting and waiting" further emphasize the feeling of isolation and waiting for something to happen.
The third and fourth lines talk about the person's desire for death by thunder. This can be interpreted as a cry for help or just the feeling of being stuck in a place where they do not belong. The lines suggest an awareness of one's own vulnerability, being so high up on a mountain that they can be struck by lightning at any time.
The lines "light from above, dark from below" and "my roots weave in-too-deep" are particularly interesting as they could represent conflicting emotions. A person trying to rise above their struggles, yet feeling pulled back by their roots that run too deep. The final lines of the song express resentment towards those who can fly, which can be seen as a metaphor for those who are capable of soaring high above their problems and finding solutions.
