A pop version of the stars of vaudeville and cabaret. This is how the sextet of dancers and singers who were very successful in the disco scene in the 1970s was defined. The group was born at the time of the soap opera Dancin' Days, by the musical producer Nelson Motta, who took advantage of the talent of six waitresses from his nightclub in Rio. Starting with short musical numbers between tables, singing young guard and rock hits, As Frenéticas began to sell out shows and soon became a national phenomenon.

The song "Perigosas Peruas" by As Frenéticas is a playful celebration of women who drive perua vehicles in Brazil. The lyrics speak of the perua as a source of freedom and adventure, with the vehicle serving as a tool for the woman to explore and experience the world around her. The repetition of phrases like "tira e bota, troca, troca" ("take off and put on, swap, swap") and "põe e tira, vira, gira" ("put on and take off, turn around, spin") create a sense of movement and excitement that mirrors the experience of driving a perua.
The song also highlights the hard work and labor that goes into maintaining and operating a perua, with lyrics like "lava, passa, enxagua, enxuga" ("wash, dry, rinse, repeat") and "sobe, desce, veste, despe" ("go up, go down, dress, undress"). However, these tasks are presented as a necessary and worthwhile trade-off for the freedom and joy that driving a perua brings.
