but this is what I heard
I know you must be lonely
Underneath, you're insecure
but you can rest asured
I know you're not the only
It's always such a shame
In a struggle to survive
You're everyone's best friend
You're abandoned in the end
And you never felt alive
It's hard to climb a waterfall
I never realized
That there's a part inside us all
That tumbles from the sky
When we watch a dreamer die
Do you remember when
All of this began,
And you never turned around?
It must be hard to find again
The place where you had been
When you finally hit the ground
And everyone believes
And no one ever sees
Your struggle to survive
And no one understands
Who's there to hold your hand
When you fight to stay alive
It's hard to climb a waterfall
I never realized
That there's a part inside us all
That tumbles from the sky
When we watch a dreamer die
And I don't ever want to
Well, I don't ever want to
I don't ever want to die like you
The lyrics to Autovein's song "Dreamer Dies" are about someone who is struggling with feelings of loneliness, insecurity, and the fear of being forgotten, while trying to survive in a harsh world. The person is constantly putting on a facade of being everyone's best friend, but as they are abandoned and left to fight for themselves, they realize they never truly felt alive. The lines "It's hard to climb a waterfall, I never realized, that there's a part inside us all, that tumbles from the sky when we watch a dreamer die" describe the struggle of trying to achieve one's dreams and the disappointment when they fail.
The song is about the sadness that comes with dreams that could not be realized, people who try to hide their insecurity but are ultimately left with feelings of loneliness and alienation. The song provides an insight into the struggles that people face in their daily lives, especially those who may feel like their dreams and aspirations have not come to fruition.
Overall, "Dreamer Dies" is a melancholic song that talks about the struggles of life and how it is difficult to climb up the metaphorical waterfall. It is also a song about hope because it reminds us that we are not alone, and that it is not unusual to feel like the only one going through hard times.
