After all this time? Always
After all this time? Always
After all this time? Always
Wow wow yeah
The lyrics of B.B. Seaton's "After All This Time" express the pain and regret of reconnecting with a former friend after a long time apart, only to find that their relationship has deteriorated beyond repair. The singer reflects on the many years that have passed since they last spoke or interacted, and how things have changed so drastically that it almost feels alien. They touch on the fact that despite having gone through thick and thin together, that relationship is no longer there, and all they have left is the sadness and emptiness that comes with the loss of something that was once very important.
The singer seems to be questioning what caused this disconnect, wondering both what they may have done wrong and what the other person could have done to let things fall apart so completely. They seem to be searching for a solution, some way to go back to how things used to be or at least salvage something from the wreckage of their former friendship. However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that there may be no repairing what has been lost. The ties that bound them for so long have withered away, leaving nothing but the echo of what once was.
Overall, "After All This Time" is a poignant and introspective exploration of the pain of losing a friend and the regret that comes with the passing of time. It speaks to the universal experience of growing apart from those we once loved and the sadness that lingers long after those people are gone from our lives.
