Head down all day starin' at floor
Hope I find the one that I'm lookin for
Walkin' up all alone I know the way
Do I know anyone, well I can't say
All I need is a laugh to break the day
Hope I'll find someone
Or else just float a drift away
Before this time has slipped away
Lookin' for a friendly face
In a house where no one knows my name
I'm feelin' my heart race
Why do I try and play this game?
I've been here so long with nothin' to say
Think it's time I go, can't stand to stay
Better leave before I lose the day
Then you catch my eye
Cause you're looking down
You let out a sigh
Then you look around
I can tell you were searching just like me
Oh
Maybe I found someone
Or they'll just float and drift away
Both felt out of place
Just gotta think of what to say
Maybe it's just the game we play and all of us will drift away?
No wait I know for sure
This time will leave before we know and
All of us will reminisce
Thinkin' 'bout these times we miss
And I'll just make sure I remember
Those quiet times back in December
The lyrics to B. Baker Chocolate Co.'s song "Carousel" depict a sense of loneliness and yearning for connection. The singer walks out the door, feeling down and staring at the floor, searching for someone they are looking for. As they walk alone, unsure if they know anyone, they desperately hope for a laugh to brighten their day. The lyrics convey a feeling of vulnerability and isolation, as the singer seeks out a friendly face in a house where no one knows their name.
The song captures the universal experience of feeling out of place and wanting to find someone who understands. The singer finally catches the eye of someone who seems to be in the same position, with both of them feeling like they don't belong. They share a moment of connection and understanding, realizing that they have been searching for someone just like each other. The lyrics suggest that this fleeting moment of companionship may eventually fade away, but the memory of it will remain.
Overall, "Carousel" explores themes of longing, searching for connection, and the transient nature of relationships. It conveys the bittersweetness of temporary connections, and the importance of cherishing those moments of understanding.

Cool! The only song I remember hearing from this group is Snowblower back in 1980-81. Glad to hear their other cool stuff. The 80s was such a good time for jazz instrumentals.

@Upr1s1n9 -Your English is fine. Good point. It was just my opinion since I really started listening to jazz around 1979 and have enjoyed it since then. Very fond memories of the "Jazz Flight" radio show of Tampa's WTMP on Sunday afternoons. Sad that today the people that work at that radio station don't even remember Jazz Flight or its host, Goosby Jones who helped boost interest in Jazz for the Tampa Bay area.

@ACLTony It completely agree with you, but with the small amendment. 1970 - years were weren't less actual for occurrence of jazz masterpieces and compositions. 'Sorry for my bad english :)'
