Time Slippin Away
B.i.G. Ben Lyrics

Well, hello there (well, hello there)
My, it's been a long, a long, long time (take your time B)
How am I doing?
Well, I guess that I'm doing fine
Yeah, it's been so long now
And it seems, seems like it was only yesterday, yesterday (mmhmm)
Gee, gee, ain't it funny (I hear you)
So funny, how time slips away

But listen B (yeah)
How's your new love?
Oh, I guess she's doing fine (yep, she's doing alright, we're still together)
Listen, I heard you told her (mmhmm)
That you's gonna love him 'til the end of time (giving all I got Bob)
Well, that's the same thing (really?)
That you told her all the time
You'll have to beg (yes, I guess so)
Well, ain't it funny, how time slips right on away

Oh my Lord
Yeah
Take your time
Mm, yeah, yeah
Sounding good son, what you say

Well, I gotta go now (you got to leave now)
I guess I'll see you, I'll see you hanging around (somewhere hanging around)
But I don't know (said I don't know)
When, when I'll be back, back in town (when you might be back in town)
I don't know when I'll get back son
Listen B (yeah)
'Member when I told you (mmhmm)
Oh in time you have to pay (Yeah I guess I will)
Listen (mmhmm)
Ain't it surprising (yes it's surprising)
How time it just slips on (slips on)
Slips on away (away)
Ain't it funny
Yeah, oh yeah

This type of behavior is so common because people choose to look away, and pretend that they're not aware that someone is being raped. Despite the evidence provided by their own eyes and ears.

(And, I'm not suggesting anyone place themselves in harm's way by intervening.
I suggest calling the police first. And then make noise to draw attention to what is happening, safety in numbers.
Keep a safe distance, but let him know everyone sees what he is doing, and record for evidence.)

Acknowledging unpleasant truths is a necessary part of effectively navigating reality.

We need to stop making excuses for these guys.
Can we just acknowledge that rape and sexual abuse are wrong, cowardly, and criminal?

I remember living in Ohio when the story broke and his hometown Findlay was the first to remove his merchandise at the allegation. Provided me with enough info to not ever support him

Cool! It took me until the boycott of Colin Kaepernick and the NFL (or at least the (hometown) Team I was still watching; Brady, Bill Belichick, the NFL Commissioner) fawning over the Wannabe Dorito Dictator.

Yup! Ignored the last Super Bowl win (and Loss) with Tom as QB of the Patriots? Sure did! Got my Sundays back too. No more NFL of any kind for me. This Channel really is my only exception, I change the Channel after the weather and before Sports (ANOTHER 10 minutes I get back!) Try it! Weird at first but the time you make of it is great!

And just so everyone who reads this knows: I'm a White Guy. I not only supported Kaepernick for kneeling, I know that he was a terrific athlete that outperformed the Team he played on and the Coach he played for. Look THAT up as well. If Colin can surrender an NFL Salary to do the right thing, then I can CERTAINLY give up the NFL - no problem.

@@arcanondrum6543 I whole heartedly agree with you. I stop watching NFL years ago after Brady got away with cheating in a National Championship game. Yes I know all thise Brady fans swear he never told the equipment manager to under inflate the balls, but be honest we all know that's bullshit. Goodell has allowed some to get away with anything and others suffer all depending on how much money Goodell is paid. I found better things to do like spend the extra time with my kids. We are better off without it.

Rape is not a youthful indiscretion. It is a violent act against a woman no matter her age. Or his age.

@DrtyALGreen

I'm from Pittsburgh and people I've known spent time with him in social gatherings. He was never pleasant to be around supposedly and some what of a creeper

@kevincoffey3112

I work in Oxford where he went to college and the locals fucking hated him

I still remember the Sports Illustrated article about the incident in Georgia that was the closest to him being arrested. Except two deputies were too gaga meeting an NFL quarterback to do so after the accusation was made. If that were any black man, professional athlete or not, in the same instance of an reported sexual assault, an arrest would have occurred.

"If that were any black man, professional athlete or not, in the same instance of an reported sexual assault, an arrest would have occurred." You're stating that as a fact. It's not a fact.

@@michaeldonnan6767 an high possibility.
