Don't Wake Me Up
BROWN Chris Lyrics

If this love only exists in my dreams
Don't wake me up
Too much light in this window,
Don't wake me up,
Only coffee no sugar inside my cup,
If I wake and you're here still, gimme a kiss,
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up, yeah
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me
So much life in the city you won't believe,
Been awake for some days now, no time to sleep,
If your heart is a pillow, this love's the bed,
Tell me what is the music inside my head
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up, yeah
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me
I don't wanna fall, fall, fall, fall asleep no,
I don't wanna fall unless I'm falling for you
I don't wanna fall, fall, fall, fall asleep no,
I don't wanna fall unless I'm falling for you
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me up, yeah
Don't wake me up, up, up, up, up, up
Don't wake me up
Don't wake me
The lyrics of Chris Brown's song "Don't Wake Me Up" convey a longing for a love that exists only in dreams. The singer pleads not to be awakened from this dreamlike state, where he can imagine being with the person he loves. He describes the light in his window as too bright, indicating he may be having trouble sleeping. He mentions he's only had coffee with no sugar indicating he's restless and unable to relax. He dreams about being with his lover, and wants to continue dreaming about their lips, but he knows that he will have to wake up eventually.
The second verse talks about the "life in the city" and how he has been awake for days but hasn't been able to sleep. The lyrics compare his lover's heart to a pillow and their love to a bed, implying that he finds peace and comfort in their love. He wonders about the music playing in his head, which may symbolize the feelings he has for his lover that he can't put into words. The final lines reiterate the chorus and emphasize the singer's desire to remain in this dream world with his lover.
Overall, the song emphasizes the bittersweet nature of love that can only exist in dreams. The lyrics convey the hopelessness of wanting someone you can't have and the longing to stay in a dream where that love is possible.

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and went to jail. Now I have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In The Sky” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💕

Why new songs gets boring quickly and old ones just eases your soul when you listen to it and it never gets old. Love these songs they’re nostalgic

Because it’s always the same lyrics. Only a few artists have albums that last more than a week nowadays
