Children of the Sun
Bamboo Lyrics

You crossed the line
You think you’ve paid your dues
You’re here to take what’s mine
Run for cover son this is no challenge for the weak
Ain’t taking victims
Ride this winner to the end
Children of the sun
Fight on fight harder
This is the call
Children of the sun
Fight on fight on
In this song, Bamboo is depicting a battle between two individuals or groups, where one has crossed a line and believes they’ve paid their dues. The singer warns them to think twice before trying to take what’s rightfully theirs. They urge the other party to run for cover, as this is no challenge for the weak, and that they won’t take any victims. Instead, Bamboo encourages them to ride this winner, meaning that they can only succeed if they join forces with him. Throughout the song, Bamboo is rallying his fellow “Children of the Sun” to fight on, using this as a call to action to stand up for what’s right and never give up.
The phrase "Children of the Sun" is a reference to the ancient civilization of the Incas, who believed they were the descendants of the sun god, Inti. The Incas believed that the emperor was the son of the sun, and thus, the emperor's people were considered children of the sun. The song's lyrics may have been inspired by this historical reference, and Bamboo is encouraging his fellow Filipinos to be proud of their heritage and to fight for their rightful place in this world.
