It was always a dream of Barron and Joel to record the songs that were loved by their friends, family and community of believers. Finally this year (January 19, 2007), Barron and Joel fulfilled their dream in the simplest of ways. With one condenser microphone, a guitar and some very close friends (Josh Cook, John Darden, and Sam Darden) they recorded a sampling of songs. In the dimly lit Kapaun Chapel at Fort Riley, Kansas, Barron and Joel sat down across from each other and sang the songs that had made them such close friends. The tracks are by no means perfect, but they do tell the story of their past.
Currently, Barron is about to be deployed with his unit to Baghdad, Iraq where he will serve his soldiers as an Army Chaplin. Joel is on staff at a church in Atlanta as the middle school pastor. Please pray for Barron and the soldiers as they face what will be a very difficult time away from family and friends.
