1) Beaver is a stoner rock band from the Netherlands. Beaver gained some fame with a split EP with Queens of the Stone Age (Man's Ruin), when it was still just a Josh Homme side-project, not a band. They also backed Josh on his stoner-hymn "18 A.D" on the "Burn One Up" album.
2) Jonathan "Beaver" Sheppard, born in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada.
Known simply around town as Beaver, he makes low-fi bedroom 4-track songs with his guitar and pieces of drum kit lying around his apartment. Occasionally he'll tamper with sounds on his mpc2000 and fruity loops.
Live performances are epic, intimate, heart-warming and sincere. His spastic strumming, garbled and personal lyrics, and sometimes wailing vocals can be compared to that of Daniel Johnston.
Beaver has shared the stage with: Sunset Rubdown, Billy Childish, Xiu Xiu, Frog Eyes, Ris Paul Rick, Think About Life and many others.
3) Beaver was an early 80s hardcore punk band from the US. They released one self-titled 7" in 1981.
4) Beaver is a 80's roots hardcore meets 90's punk revival from Adelaide, Australia. http://www.facebook.com/beaverofficial
5) BEAVER is a modern hardcore/screamo band from Krakow, Poland.

GREEN
Beaver Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
See how they spread the light so evenly
Leave my courtyard bathing
In luscious green
Leave no shadow there to hide for me
Silhouettes draw silver lines across the sky
Feels like it takes forever
In the end what's true
True of all you thought you knew
In the end what counts for you
Distant sounds are carried
On distant winds
Starting off a looplike stream of thoughts
Centred round this silent eye of the storm
Feels like it takes forever
So in the end what's true
True of all you thought you knew
In the end what counts for you
Let me take you down
Out onto my courtyard
There's the key
The lock's been long awaiting
Watch the sunrays filter down
And spread the light so even
Leave my courtyard bathing
In luscious green
Silhouettes draw silver lines across the sky
Feels like it takes forever
The song Green by Beaver is an ode to the beauty of nature and its ability to offer solace in times of confusion and uncertainty. The first verse describes the singer observing the sunlight filtering down through the leaves and bathing his courtyard in luscious green. There’s no shadow to hide in, meaning that he’s basking in the full glory of the sun’s rays. The second verse talks about distant sounds being carried on distant winds, leading to a loop of thoughts centered around the silent eye of the storm. This suggests that the singer is going through a difficult moment in his life, but the sheer beauty of nature around him offers calm and comfort. In the end, the chorus ponders what’s true and what counts, implying that perhaps the singer is going through a moment of self-reflection and realization.

Yeah, they are. Josh Homme stated once that this was one of his absolute favourite bands in Europe. Their website features some pictures of the band along with Josh
