Well Well
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa Lyrics

Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well
I've heard some talk in the neighborhood bout a good time somebody's havin'
They don't know
They just don't know the half about it
And that there's so much to it
And what they're sayin
They don't know what we're knowin
Never gonna catch up
Never get goin

Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well
As long as I can see its you and me alone together
It feels so good
Lord I feel so good about it
If its feelin good inside of one
Nothin ever matters
Lovin you doin what I'm lovin
Lovin me lovin what ya do
Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well

Don't you hear me talkin to you Joe?
Come on
Well well

Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well
I heard some talkin in the neighborhood bout a good time somebody's havin
But they don't know
They just don't know the half about it
And that there's so much to it
What they're sayin
They don't know but we know it
Never gonna catch us
They'll never get goin

Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well

Well well gettin to know you so well
Well well gettin to know you so well

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa's song "Well Well" have a loose narrative that revolves around two people getting to know each other intimately. The singer of the song sings about how they are "getting to know you so well," and how they are "loving you doing what I'm loving." The singer is obviously revelling in the newfound intimacy that they are experiencing with the person they are singing to, and there is a sense of joy and elation in their voice.

The song also references some talk in the neighborhood about a good time that someone is having, but the singer is dismissive of this talk. They declare that "they just don't know the half about it," and that "what they're saying, they don't know what we're knowing." This seems to suggest that the intimacy that the singer is experiencing is something that is beyond the comprehension of those around them. The song ends with the singer and Joe (presumably the other musician on the track) urging each other on, declaring "Don't you hear me talkin' to you Joe? Come on!" This gives the impression that the song is more of a jam session than a carefully crafted narrative - a fun, loose expression of joy and intimacy.
