Mass Consuming Pigs
Beyond Decay Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The mass consuming,
the mass polluting,
no one ever cares about the people dying,
monopolies continue to wipe out the trees,
they're too blind to fucking see,
why must we live a life of war,
just so your profits they can soar
in the end,
when there is nothing left,
in the end,
when will you finally see,
that I don't want to be a mass consuming pig,
I will never be, chained down to your leash,

Why must we live a life of war,
just so your profits they can soar,

I don't want to be, a mass consuming pig,
plague to humanity.

Why must we live a life of war,
just so your profits they can soar

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Mass Consuming Pigs" by Beyond Decay reflect the band's concern about the state of our planet and the government and corporations' indifference to the environmental and social issues that the world is facing. The song describes the mass consumption and pollution that are contributing to the destruction of our natural resources and the implications for the future.

The opening lines of the lyric, "the mass consuming, the mass polluting, no one ever cares about the people dying," highlights the fact that people are consuming and polluting at an alarming rate, and society is turning a blind eye to it. The lyrics describe how corporations are wiping out trees and natural resources and polluting the environment. The term "monopolies" suggests that these corporations have complete control over the industries and markets they operate in, which means that they prioritize their profits over anything else.

The lyricist then raises a question about why we must live in a world where there's so much war and conflict just so corporations can make their profits soar. The chorus of the song makes a strong statement about being anti-consumerism where the lyricist announces their rejection of the idea of mass consumption, and they refuse to be trapped into the culture of mass consumerism. The song concludes with a call for awareness and action, emphasizing the idea that if we continue to live in a war-like world fueled by mass consumption, we will drive ourselves to extinction.

@@Amalie.x7fv oddest thing? I’m still here.
In a way, it’s annoying. Like, you get told that you have X amount of time before you get to be seated at the front of the roller coaster, but for some reason it just keeps being held up.
That sounds so wrong. Hey, I’m very happy to still be here, and for the fact that I may be able to see my daughter grow into a mature young woman.
It’s hard to explain how it feels, but after two years of being told that I’m on my last leg, I feel like a fraud to anyone I opened up to about this.
My first instinct was to say nothing.
Cause attempting to comfort someone when you’ve no idea what to say, simply makes me squeamish.
Even after being told that I was, I felt completely useless when it came to comforting someone.
That’s not changed.
I have at least a few more years, as long as I’m perfect in my behavior (which is awful, cause that’s always been a weakness of mine, being perfect).
Bottom line; it feels like some of my old friends are almost disappointed that I’m still here.
Like, “When will this bish kick it, already?”
I’m a mess. And I’m depressed. And I see old photos, and think that they’re of me…then I look in the mirror, and am shocked that I’m not me anymore.
Most of my hair’s gone, I look like an alien from “Close Encounters”. (Except I’ve this weird belly that I have to have drained every two weeks)
So yeah, I’m messy.
Sorry.
Unloaded, there.
I’m grateful for many things.
Maybe blathering on to strangers is a manner of healthy survival on my part.
I wanna go see the new Weird Al Yankovic movie.
I’ll have to skip a food treat, and take myself.
(Disability doesn’t give you enough wiggle room to enjoy life beyond existing🙃)
Have a great day!
And I’ll do my best at the same ♥️🌻🐿️🕊️🤙💃🏽🐈‍⬛🫠🙃🤭

I dunno, the giant DOJ/AGENCY seal displayed prominently outside with a trespasser warning pretty clearly shows what this is lol

@ricardogonzalez4076

I think you would smell the bodies before you even reach the fence
