Beyond the Black Lyrics

Every time I wake up, I'm someone new
In the end I don't feel like I'm deciding
Nothing more than a blank space coming through
I can see that the way ahead is burning
And I see that there is no turning back
Straight ahead, through the flames, we go together
We're born to die, we are human
We're born to die in the end
We're born to die, we are human
And all our pride will turn to sand
Cause after all, we're born to die, my friend
I can hear all those questions without answers
I get by, but I can't say that I'm sane
In the end we're bound to meet the maker
And we got no one else but him to blame
I can see that this road leads to a dead end
And I still try to run and finish first
Straight ahead, don't think twice, we'll go together
Live today and forget how much it hurts
We're born to die, we are human...
Cause after all, we're born to die, my friend
Will you show me a way to see the sense here?
Will you show me what I'm supposed to feel?
Straight ahead, through the flames, we keep on walking
Someone tell me that none of this is real
We're born to die, we are human...
We're born to die, we are human...
We're born to die, we are human
And all our pride will turn to sand
'Cause after all, we're born to die, my friend
We're born to die, my friend
The song "Human" by Beyond the Black reflects on the human condition and the inevitability of death. The lyrics convey the struggle of decision-making and the uncertainties that life presents. The line "Every time I wake up, I'm someone new" suggests the feeling of detachment, as though one's identity is constantly shifting.
The chorus highlights the universal truth that every human being is born with the sole purpose of dying eventually. The line "And all our pride will turn to sand" reflects on how everything we hold dear in this world will eventually disintegrate and disappear. The second verse poses existential questions and suggests that we will eventually have to answer to a higher power, and we have no one else to blame but ourselves for the actions we take in life.
The bridge asks for guidance to make sense of the chaos and confusion that surrounds us. However, the songs end with a bleak reminder that there is no escaping our fate as mortals.
Overall, "Human" is a poignant reflection on the human experience, reminding us of our limited time on this planet, and the choices we make along the way.
