@Current Yeah yeah, Fallout 3 is just sooo terrible because your character has a father and you can’t fully side with the Enclave, which OBVIOUSLY makes the ENTIRE game and everything else about it suck. Fallout 4 has limited dialogue options so there’s NO WAY that any quest could still have multiple outcomes and all of the improvements to the gameplay such as gunplay, power armour, weapon and armour customisation, companions, exploration, lore etc. couldn’t POSSIBLY be any good. And 76 just obviously STILL sucks and the 3+ years of constant updates, community feedback, fixes, additions along with the world and lore have just CLEARLY done nothing to improve the game since it’s launch over 3 years ago… If you want to believe all that then go ahead, I’m not stopping you

@Current Those things are incredibly small and barely matter, weapon condition is good and all but it’s not like it’s removal ruins gunplay, power armour training is replaced with getting better and better suits as you explore and level up, and the vault boy mascot holding weapons and wearing armour while yes I agree was cool, it’s again another incredibly small detail that doesn’t change anything significant about the gameplay.

But I will say stuff that they removed that actually effected something was removing the skills, and instead just having SPECIAL stats and perks, but again, it’s not entirely a bad thing as the skills have basically been integrated into the SPECIAL stats themselves as well as some of the perks, so it’s more of a simplification instead of a flat out removal

Tk, just found a hallowed out rock right next to the goodsprings cave in new vegas. Thought it looked exactly like the one by the memorial. Its by the entrance, cant miss it. Ive put thousands of hours into this game and Im still finding new things. No matter if its something big or small.

Despite the fact that Dogmeat is by far the best companion, I prefer him from FO3. And I love the fact that they added the perq Domeat's Puppies. I would reload if Dogmeat died, considering it exactly as if I had died. I know it's considered "cheating" but I don't GAS. They added it for nutbars like me.
I really wish there was a "Good Boy" convo option for DM4.

I would do the same, but I usually sent Dogmeat back to Megaton for fear of getting him killed... My first New Vegas play through, Sunny Smiles dog was killed in the gecko clearing mission at the beginning... Broke my heart, so I reloaded. Though my last save was way far back

Far Harbor is actually "Bar Harbor", a real place.
There's a sign I think it's when you come in to Far Harbor, where the bottom of the B is missing.
I also found reference to "Bar Harbor" on prewar terminals in the Vim factory offices.
Oxhorn put me onto the sign, but there was a few other references I found besides just the Vim offices.

Concerning the caps currency in 76, there is actually a small explanation that helps at the Whitesprings Resort. It is mentioned there that due to a special marketing event, the hotel vendors were authorized to accept NukaCola caps as alternative currency. It’s a small detail but it helps explain the use there!

Have you heard of Mr. Autumn? I spared colonel autumn and wanted to see where he went after he left the area and as soon as I exited the rotunda area I saw him dressed in a suit and glasses guarded by 2 enclave troopers. I have never heard about this from anyone else.

I like to imagine caps have stayed as the standard currency in fallout because the only alternative weve seen has been from factions that arent omni-present and in many cases directly opposed

theres no NCR or Legion presence in boston or washington so theyre not there to present their alternative currency, so I would assume that caps are more or less just backed by common acceptance
Maybe the water merchants traveled far and wide before seemingly dissolving as a known organization and spread their usage of caps so aggressively it just stuck

nuca-cola IS omni-present so it IS atleast understandable that caps would BE everywhere, and it only takes enough people to spread the word that these are valuable for everyone to eventually accept it

Not sure if this is in there but sometimes, a dead raider dressed in fallout 3 raider attire will spawn by the bridge over the freeway near Novac. I guess it’s assumed that Boone or Manny shot them.

Quick tip if you wanna survive mad dashing to the Strip. Take the highway that's literally right below where you can pick up Victoria, it's the safest (to an extent) route you can take to the Strip. The only dangerous thing is the ant mounds, but you can sneak by that place pretty easily.

I didn't know you could run into Skinny Malone in FO4 out in the commonwealth after confronting him at the exit of the vault until my recent playthrough. I recorded the encounter just to be safe. Lol

I wrote a story a while back that purposefully dealt with the issue of "caps".

I simply said that the origin (and use) was by people melting down and pouring silver into them to create a simple yet standard "ad-hoc" currency. It can be hard to buy things with candlesticks and silverware, but melting them down and using a small round mold that was readily available and of a standard size simply made sense.

the old ring was created with the legendary spawn exploit. it was possible to create any item with any mod and stars (up to 5stars) that was in the game files

Mantis I don’t know if anyone know this or it was just a glitch. But if you bomb the NCR in the Lonesome Road DCL then go to the crater and toggle clipping, there is a little playground with the skeleton of two kids. I picked up one of their skulls and got the same prompt at 9:15

I found this out in my last run of fallout 4 if you want you can kill the brotherhood of steel in both locations and it won't do anything to the main store if you are siding with someone else just don't give the company elder maxes outfit if you want to keep it

I think the mysterious syringe that colonel autum injected himself with was the mysterious serum from fallout 4 because it negates so much radiation in fallout 4 he could survive in fallout 3 thanks to its effects

I still think the FO4 VATS in the vault problem is just a 'mistake' and the PC is not a synth. Beth wanted to have a VATS tutorial as soon as possible. That was just a poor choice on their part. I think they knew there would be a lot of first time Fallout players, like me and needed to put that tutorial in there. But, it should have been after arriving in Sanctuary.

Pretty sure Bethesda have outright stated that the Vault VATS thing was an oversight. Besides, the Synth Player theory is easily debunked by the intro, which you play, ergo you have agency, which means it's not a memory or a dream

suggestion: in fallout new vegas. if you visit the brotherhood of steel while already acquired power armor training through arcade gannon quest line elder mcnamara will have unique dialog commenting on who you manage to possessed power armor training but [you may have to wear power armor for this to work]

Ok so the Wanamingo bit, isn’t that the same thing as the “Rodents of Unusual Size” wild wasteland reference? Bc an NPC refers to them as such before you get there, and then they experience the name change (although with wild wasteland they seem to still be ROUS’s without meeting the woman for the garret’s quest)

Being backed by nothing doesn't invalidate caps as currency, it just makes them currency by fiat. The NCR currency in New Vegas is canonically fiat as well, a forced change after the Brotherhood destroyed the NCR's gold reserves. Caps are relatively counterfeit proof by virtue of their design and style, and very inflation resistant given the only means of introducing new currency post-war is drinking bottled drinks. The idea that caps would be adopted and popularized as currency independent of the Hub's water merchants is just as believable as the idea that the Hub's merchants themselves would adopt them, especially in areas without a strong central governing power present that'd mint its own currency (Commonwealth and Capital Wasteland, namely).

I think it would be easier to counterfeit caps than pre war money. Caps are made in real life way easier than a dollar is made. You just need a machine to press caps out of metal and you're good to go, there's no date or anything on a bottle cap all that info is on the bottle.

Fun fact, if you have Amata keep teh gun, she will hand it back to you. Also fun fact, because the winterized T51B armor is unique, there is another set in teh wasteland but the problem is that armor ends another quest (I forget the name of it) so if you start the quest with the T51B from operation anchorage, then you will complete the wasteland quest.

He forgot to mention that if you do my kind of town and then gamble there, when you cash in your chips they don't actually leave your inventory. Go in with as many caps as you can, change them all for chips then gamble. Afterwards you can infinitely turn in chips. You never need to worry about caps again.
