Billie the Vision & the Dancers got together in Malmö during the recordings of the first album in the spring of 2004. The Singer, Songwriter Lars Lindquists had previous material from a solo project. One person wasn't enough he thought, and had persuaded five more members to join the project. Most of them old friends from his home town Bräkne-Hoby in Blekinge, and on top of that a new friend from Borlänge.
The debut I Was So Unpopular in School and Now They're Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle released on their own label Love Will Pay the Bills got great reviews in the press and also got nominated at Manifest, the Swedish prize award for records released on indie labels.

Apologize
Billie the Vision & the Dancers Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And I didn't get to know you before you were gone
And I walk in your footsteps, I walk in your footsteps
I spy on you. Forgive me for that now
So were you here to comfort me or to comfort you?
To forget about the mistakes you've done
One shouldn't do like that
One shouldn't do like that
You're all so important to me and you know it
So if that is mutual, respect me and show it
You've hurt me before and you hurt me again
So apologize and I'll forgive you
Don't make fun of me or mock me or tease me
Take my hand and listen to me and release me
You've hurt me before and you hurt me again
So apologize and I'll forgive you
The last thing I need now is bad jokes and laughter
I cannot go on like this. So help me now. Help me. So help now
And the last thing I need now is bad jokes and laughter
I cannot go on like this. So help me now. Help me. So help now
Na na na na na na na...
The lyrics of "Apologize" by Billie the Vision & the Dancers convey feelings of loneliness, regret, forgiveness, and the need for mutual respect in relationships. The singer reflects on past mistakes and missed opportunities to get to know someone before they were gone. They also admit to spying on the person and ask for forgiveness for doing so. The singer then questions the intentions of the person's presence in their life, wondering if they came to comfort them or themselves. Despite feeling hurt by the person's actions, the singer is willing to forgive them if they apologize and show respect.
The lyrics also express the singer's need for support and understanding, as they cannot go on with bad jokes and laughter during a difficult time. The repetition of "help me now" emphasizes the urgency of their plea for help.
Overall, the song highlights the importance of communication, honesty, and empathy in relationships. It encourages listeners to take responsibility for their actions, apologize when necessary, and show respect to others.
